Ford Edge L is the Ford version of XUV700 at a pricing of around 20000 American dollars with features like adaptive cruise control and the same looks as the XUV700. it even gets the same engine and powertrain as the XUV700 with a 2.0l turbo petrol engine. This new Ford edge L can make a big comeback to the Indian shores with features like 20 inch alloys and proper 7 seats for Rs 17 lakhs Indian Rupees.

after exit of jeep and skoda from china, lot of foreign brands are thinking of exiting china due to BYD and all the other chinese EV brands. Ford or even market leader VW has been doing terribly since the last 5 years and fighting to survive there with intense competition from 100 brands and insane pricing. this car is one of Ford's make it or break it product.

I remember reading on the teambhp forums long back. The tie up was to have common platforms/ drive trains for xuv300 and Eco sport, xuv700 and the edge and the alturas/ endeavour. Ford indeed adapted the car for the edge L in china. Though personally I think Mahindra did a better job with the exterior

How will they give a 250hp engine at 20 lakhs in India while the endeavour with just 200hp engine will be selling for 50lakhs? Doesn’t make sense. The endeavour is also missing out on the luxury features of this car. Considering how much cheaper it is, it will kill endeavour sales. Something doesn’t fit.
