As a Mongolian, I want to explain the people's no expression when they receive a gift. The first- they are really thankful to you guys and they appreciate your gifts even its a tiny smile. But why no immediate reaction is just because of their nature and language barrier they looks like smehow no expression when they receive your gifts😊. But it feels great and thankful inside of themselves. They just do not learn how to express it. Most of them know the word "thank you" but it is so sudden all the time, your gifts r always unexpected and so surprising, 2. we only know to give a hand to others and give all what we have to others But we do not expect to receive anything in return. So they receive smething from smeone like u guys (foreigners) they do not know how to express themselves properly. They are truly shy when they cannot do smething or do not know smething 😂. The language barrier is the problem here too. It is also because of traditional home rule 😅 we were not allowed to talk or try to interrupt olders /speech without permission when we were kids. So we are not active to respond your precious gifts and kindness 😅 immediately. We have not learn that yet. We are not so open to strangers who we do not know. (It is more common in countryside area where your delivery is) But we all appreciate everything what we receive. I am sure that James will talk about you and your tip to friends later.
