You’re right! That was my bad. The reason for the confusion is because the criterion lane shined up really fast and did not hold its surface long at all. Doesn’t mean the shape got worse, in fact it got better, but you are correct in my misphrasing!

With the Criterion's ability to handle fresh conditions, how do you think it compares to other high RG balls in terms of versatility across different lane conditions?

Criterion is going to be better suited for fresher conditions, especially when compared to High RG Symmetrical pieces. In terms of versatility, The Criterion has quite a bit for a top end piece, but will have its limitations for lower rev players as they have to more to the inside part of the lane.

Im on the hunt for a big ball, i have a 3.0 but sometimes it doesnt turn the corner during game 1, I am looking at this and the mesmerize. i am a speed dom player. i throw around 16.5 to 15.5 with like 350 rev. the house i normally bowl at is a higher friction center so i was thinking this due to that reason alone because to me the mesmerize is bigger than this and i may not be able to use it as often. what are your thoughts?

good thing to remember that the solid/pearl/hybrid naming only works comparing the same cover type. there's hybrids that are sharper than some other pearls and some hybrids that have more traction than other solids!
