Having a stand-alone giant circle is not easy, but if you put it in a group of different buildings of various shapes, it may change people's perception. I think any giant building, regardless of its shape, stands by itself out of nowhere does seem strange to the eye. The CCTV tower in Beijing does get some help from surrounding buildings, and visually speaking, it works if you look at it from distance. Great theme!

We saw this golden coin building on our way from the train station to city center. The taxi driver said it was there for Feng Shui purpose 😅 and apparently it is empty??? I’m not from Guangzhou so not sure. Anyone can help to explain?

The beauty or ugliness of architecture is more about human subjective perspectives. In fact, almost all buildings have their own artistic value. There is an absolute eyesore in Huaqiao, Kunshan City appearing as a concrete pyramid similar to the old Qbert computer game. It is huge, poorly constructed and degrading as I speak. The architect is from Japan, likely committing other gargantuan crimes against humanity 😅

Actually it’s taken the form of ancient Chinese money. Me as a local don’t think that’s ugly. It’s just kinda odd being there standing out of its surroundings which isn’t a bad thing at all. After all it’s for commercial use 😂

I have seen this building on the highway and have wanted to get off the highway several times to take a closer look. The shape of the building is a copper coin, the ancient Chinese currency, which is square and round, which is excellent for Feng Shui.
