Thanks for the video, brought back some memories of when we stayed there. My wife keeps a log and here is the entry: “28/08/2000. Stayed the night at CC site at Berwick. Miserable looking place in the middle of a council estate. Walked around the town, went in one pub, only bar open and was served warm (white) wine. Went back to van and looked at roof tops, with the sea beyond. Cost £8.80.” We didn’t stick around, but maybe we should have given it a fairer chance! 40 odd quid a night now, they’re taking the mickey! 😄

We ended our trip around Scotland at the Berwick-upon-Tweed site. We arrived late afternoon as we got delayed by an accident. As a result we had the choice of 2 pitches, both of which were rather tight and very close to the main London to Edinburgh rail line. I'm of the opinion that if we're all paying the same over the top prices, every single pitch should be of an acceptable standard. I can honestly say that in 8 years of motorhoming that was the worst pitch we've ever had. I never thought I'd ever say that about a Caravan Club site as generally they're of a good standard if overpriced. I'm glad to have only stayed one night. Thanks for showing us around Spittal and Berwick-upon-Tweed as I'm certain that we'll not be back on that site. Just found your channel and have subscribed 👍👍

Small tip for midges, pamper baby wipes, they do work and they also smell nice. We used them when up north , I think they are better than smidge that you buy in some shops. We don’t use the CMC so much now due to their price rises and are inclined to us Pitch up as they have plenty of site and they give you good and bad reviews and the pricing is very reasonable in comparison with the two other CCC & CMC. We have been on 1 over Easter then travelled to another for a week in Scotland and both sites are looking very tired. The staff where great but the organisations need to start spending some of the money they are accumulating on the sites over winter when there is no one there. Another chuckle vision special with us laughing all the way through! Love the leaky loo box bit although it did put me off my gravy for a while 🤢💩 and just one little bit that's not a criticism but an observation: Could you please not get so "swingy" with your camera/phone when your walking about (keep it smooth - like you northerners) as us southern softies get a bit sea-sick trying to keep up!! 🤣🤣 Finally loving Dora (and Pabbers) as she's so cute and she almost got your sausage... Andy! Can't wait for her to be walking about....take care guys, Andy & Lyn.

One day visiting friends, I accidentally smeared vegemite on my face after eating a sandwich. At the time I was trying to tell them they had run out of toilet paper. Absolute silence. My wife however, whispered in my ear and steered me out the room at the same time, to go and wipe my face. Best thing is, you finally met a guy who takes the piss more than you do.

Hey Andy and Claire. That beach could have been worse. Instead of driftwood, it could have had tins of paint and you could have had even more comedy material finding out if paint drying really was more fun than driftwood lol. At least it wasnt full of little owd men whittling out carved fishes out of it.🤣 We stayed at the spittle site years ago and it hasnt changed....lets just say that if I'd been a train spotter I'd have been in my element and they didnt stop at 11 then either. At the risk of sounding like a tight Mancunian, I resent having to pay a 73 quid "membership" to get the privilage of paying upwards of 40 quid a night to park on one of their pitches. Its even worse cos they claim you save up to 15 quid a night. If you're reading this C&MHC hows about free membership cos you must be making enough from your robber barron site fees without needing one. Me, I went to Morcambe in Viv last night and parked on the seafront for free and used the money I saved for brekky and several dozen cappochinos in Weatherspoons lol. My most vivid memory of Berwick was parking on the carpark near the co-op which had toilets under it and a queue about 80 people long. The toilets were coin operated and we laughed watching folk leave the door open so the next person didnt have to put their 20p in🤣🤣🤣 loving the videos. I'd love you , claire and the furbies to do a grand european tour. Much respect as ever- Kenny
