I found the fact that ILLIT debuted with such a cutesy concept quite suspicious. The most popular and memorable performances on RUNEXT had girl crush type concepts like Bad Girl Good Girl, Given-Taken, Bad Boy, Shut Down and the song Desperate which was made especially for the show had me convinced that that was the kind of song they'd debut with. The fact that the line up excluded the most popular trainees who happened to fit that image best makes me think that this was hybe's plan all along. They wanted to create a copy of newjeans but realised the trainees most likely to debut didn't fit that image as well as others. They most likely rigged the line up to include the girls who fit this concept the best so when they did debut with a cute concept people wouldn't be so mad or confused. Given how much trainees like Chanelle, Jeemin and Jiwoo suited a more mature concept it would have been strange to debut them with a concept like ILLIT when they so clearly excelled in another concept. I agree with her actually,im not a fan of newjeans or illit but i do listen and watch these groups mv and when i saw illit concept ..its really look like new jeans concept

Honestly when I first heard of illit, their concept and music sounded eerily similar to new jeans. Yes, there are some distinct differences but it’s like someone copied and tried to change some things to make it seem “totally different”. It’s a shame subcompanies are fighting each other. Copying other groups is not new.

This conflict actually reminded me of a boss i know in my real life. He's a resto owner. But he often brought/invite some street merchant who solds f&b (really anything from bread seller, dumplings seller, traditional drinks seller etc) to open their stall in his resto teritory. He'll treat them super nice, befriend them, make them feels like they're his long lost brothers. But you can guess it already, when the merchants loosen up, feeling all buddy buddy, they'll eventually leak the secret of their good stuffs. When the boss learned it all well, his attitude change. He starts to make trouble, accusing things here and there, make the merchants feels uncomfortable so eventually they are willing to go out of the resto by themselves. The boss sucked dry the knowledge, the creativity, the final result of the research that done with hardwork by the merchants using that very sly cunning way. Later, those knowledge is what he applied to his f&b that sold in his resto. Everything looks familiar and similar to the conflict between MHJ and BSH.
