Is This What Bowling Needs?

The PBA needs to broadcast on free TV to get more viewers. Even die-hard bowlers aren't paying to watch on another pay per view channel.

The first thing we have to do is stop hating on people who don't bowl the traditional way. This constant commenting of 2 hands is cheating, 2 hands should be banned, 2 hands should have their own separate organization. That does nothing to grow the sport. That divides the sport. You can't alienate a rapidly growing style of play and expect to grow a sport. We need to put our differences aside and work together, not tear each other down. Bowlers constantly tear other bowlers down based on how they bowl. That needs to stop. I believe the PBA has been doing good job of trying to grow the sport. They got Manscaped, PBR and other non bowling related companies to come in and sponsor the PBA. That's a step, we need to work on getting more company's to come in and sponsor the PBA. In the 90s you had a massive company like Pepsi sponsoring the PBA and Denny's was all over the PBA in the 90s and early 2000s. We need to get sponsors and we do that by uniting as a bowling community and working together to grow the sport. That means acceptable the TIm Cagle style of bowling or the many 2 handers that are out there. We need to accept every style.

Mookie isn't the answer, I have the same bowling coach as Mookie. Mookie won't be at that cut level anytime soon. He has athletic ability but bowling is so much more then that, years of experience and knowledge makes cuts. You hit the nail on the head that the bowling savior is going to be like tiger and have grown up in the sport. Belmo, Simonson, or Troup are all great examples that grew up in the sport. I know they are all 2 handers but that isn't my point. Belmo is probably closest thing we have for now.. Someone will come eventually. Until then we have Troups fro, Brad and Kyle, the Tang Brothers, the fore mentioned simo and belmo, butters awkward release, Prater, Via, EJ, Coolie, and not to mention the bad guy Pete Webber who we love to hate. Even the nicest bowler in the world just retired Norm Duke. We have so many great guys to watch with huge personalities right now and lots I didnt name. There are so many more to come I see coming up the ranks as well....Its a good time to watch bowling.
