This is one of the songs I sent to my mother recently when I wanted to showcase Snow. She was curious after we found out Snow would be doing music for Black Panther 2 and I had promptly started freaking out at the news, haha. I am SO happy for Snow; I may have mixed feelings on Disney these days, but they definitely bring the exposure and she *HELLA* deserves it. I hope she gets a TON of new followers and viewers from the collaboration with them. ^^💪💪💪🔥

Had a ball watching y’all enjoy more of Snow’s music here!!! 😁 And it’s just so satisfying to see folks really get into the lyrics like that and pay attention to them. Lyrics are such a big thing to me when it comes to music, and having fantastic ones is one of the quickest ways to gain my appreciation. Snow is hella talented in both delivery and the lyrical aspect itself, and I feel like the latter is harder to find. And there’s both the technical skill in terms of wordplay and puns and flow and themes, AND there’s also just the overall content and topics. One of the reasons I love her is that while she does have some of the more typical “club, bisches, drugs, blah blah” stuff, she also has the stuff with way more quality and substance to it. One thing I’ve said before, during a time when she seemed to be leaning more into just “gangsta rap” vibes bragging about chicks in a lowdown way and stuff, is that if I just wanted the usual ish, there are plenty of other random rappers I could listen to instead. She was and is something more unique, and it was a combo of that and her general amazing skill level that drew me to her, you know? Another huge thing I appreciated was that while I don’t really class her as a conscious rapper per se, which is my favorite genre/sungenre of it, she was instead doing the flex thing, and in a way I tended to see done by male rappers but less so by female ones. Like she flexed about her skills and her crew and how formidable she was, rather than trying to emphasize being a sex object and brag about how good she was at riding jocks. 🤣🤣🤣 Me: IT’S ABOUT DARNED TIME. (I’m not saying that there haven’t already been rappers like this who’ve preceded her. But it seems like the ones currently focused on are the ones who focus on selling themselves on the basis of being ratchet and objectified. XD )

I looked it up, and I finally get that line she uses-“It’s ironic how Faith lost my faith again.” I’d been thinking “Faith” was the name of a person, but “Faith” was actually one of the songs she did with Escobar!! (The one I mentioned in that other comment-the guy who apparently turned on her after she’d given him a leg up.) I’m pretty sure I actually had watched that one ages ago, but couldn’t locate it again due to its being pulled?

2 Snow recommendations from me: “Bet That I Will” “AyAyAy” She really pops off in both (not surprisingly!), and they’re a couple of favorites of mine. *YOOO!!* This is one of my favorite songs from Snow, especially in recent years. Super glad you’re watching it!! As far as Pumbaa…I believe someone else mentioned on a video that this is a nickname for a rapper named Castro Escobar, whom she basically gave a chance and exposure to and stuff, and then he turned around and started badmouthing her behind her back and all. The other user mentioned she pulled the videos of hers that she’d done with him and stuff (which would explain why I had trouble finding stuff later on, ha. I prefer not to try and follow the personal ish too much, so this is just me learning about it from other posters).
