Amen and Amen. God has got enough grateful children to support His works. As grateful children we give with a cheerful heart. Praise the Lord for enabling His children to be givers who give cheerfully.

I really appreciate your message. In my Bible, i chose to learn even from the instructions Christ gave in Matthew 23v23. He said Justice, faith and mercy without leaving out tithing. That's a clear instruction in there. Tithing is the least i give to Christ my High Priest, i don't care what anyone says about tithing. I'll keep tithing until i get to Heaven by the grace of God. Let me tithe and get to Heaven and be told it it unnecessary, rather than not tithing and be told it was necessary. 1. In my Bible, tithing predates the law. Gen 14v20. Leviticus 27v30 2. In my Bible, Abraham who is of faith gave tithe. Gen 14v20 3. In my Bible, Melchizedek who is the King of Righteousness and predates the law didn't object or reject the receiving of tithe but accepted it even after offering Abraham bread and wine (a type of Holy Communion, signifying Christ's Sacrifice). Gen 14v20, Hebrews 7v6 4. In my Bible, the Priesthood of my Lord Jesus Christ, whose I am and whom I serve, had an oath of God Almighty that His Priesthood is after the Priesthood of Melchizedek who received tithe. Psalm 110v4, Hebrews 7v1-8, 6v20. On the 4 truths revealed above and more which I have found out, I am personally convinced beyond all doubts and teaching of any man with and without respect to their personal beliefs and teachings on tithe, as for me, till Christ my Lord comes, I have no other choice whatsoever than to tithe. Secondly, as a steward, whatever I have, was given/entrusted to me by God to manage. So I emulate our beloved brother king David who went to wars and gave God all the spoils of wars. Same way am working my way to the top in my giving commitment to my Lord. Anyone has right to say whatever it is that they want, they are entitled to their view but for me and my house, we must not only pay tithes and offerings but do much more than tithing. The highest I have done so far, for the purpose of learning only is a tenth plus 50% of my income once. And am looking forward to when I can give all like king David did. Lastly, if we take time to discuss something as little as tithing, when men like me, king David, gave over 200 billion US dollars, yes over 200 US dollars to God, you will see that we are very far. I feel really sorry for many applauding no spelt financial commitment to our Lord and His Kingdom, the least the Bible mentions they reject it, yet they oblige their finances to self. We will all give account to our Lord Christ soon. God bless you.

Fully agree with your arguments for tithing - in the NT tithing is not explicit but implicit as in mt 23: 23 - God prescribed how worship must be done and nothing left to man - must He now leave the worship of giving to man? This will then become subjective and therefore set a precedent to other requirements of worship leading to holiness - this form of reasoning that the NT said nothing about tithing is not a good argument - the gay community uses this line when they say Jesus said nothing explicitly about homosexuality but it is implicit when He said Mat 19:5 and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’?

There is no priesthood to support also the there was no transfer of the command from the priests to the apostles , it has to be a legal change and not inferred.

That is not the matter of beleiver to think about. If someone gave them forget it. Now it becomes a matter between receiver and God. That person who gave tithe / gift is cleared by giving it only if he is giving with generous heart.

Tithing is a must for believers. It's absolutely biblical. Jesus said: Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. Jesus said not to stop tithing towards the last part of this verse.

True.. Abraham tithed Melchizedek.. which is spoken again in Hebrews.. in relation to Christ.. Jesus is the First Fruit (Revelation 1)...Also wisdom book say so (which is not outdated) Proverbs 3:9 KJV [9] Honour the LORD with thy substance, And with the firstfruits of all thine increase: Malachi 3:8, 10 KJV [8] Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. [10] Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. It's another matter that the false shepherd steals the flock(Ezekiel 34) in the name of God..

3:38 Bro Zac says, I don't believe in supporting any ministry. I would like to understand better of what exactly Bro Zac is trying to tell us here as there are also missionary organisations that needs support. How will they reach the unreached if they are not sent. Romans 10:15 And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!”

Tithe : How much you give Cheerful giver : don't give less than your tithe..! Pr.. Zac. God never told to any one to give tithe in the old testament. Yet tithe was given to God as the standard when return back to from the Genesis. Since you are scholar I don't want to teach you. But plain truth can't be jeopardise with popular theology..!

Paying tithes makes a believer cheerful giver.If a believer can't give tithes, how can he be a cheerful givers?

2nd Cor. 9:6,7. Perhaps, you missed this, when misinterpreting ‼️😭 The Cheerful Giver 6 The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully[a] will also reap bountifully. 7 Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

Remove legal requirements and a person's heart will be revealed. If you try and squeeze out of people what they are unable to give, then ultimately, they won't be able to give anything. 2 Cor 9 is the standard for NT believers. The first century disciples never practiced tithing and neither should we. Paul even warned of the dangers of try to go back under the law in Gal 3.
@stephenjeyapaul266410 күн бұрын
Tithing is a state taxation under a theocratic system; Israel was a theocratic state under the Mosaic covenant system. Hence tithing does not apply to the believers in the church.

It is scriptural. (1 Corinthians 9:13,14)
@felixbassey27406 күн бұрын
The scripture you referred to never mentioned tithe but an expectation of cheerful giving by brethren to support the gospel. Jesus taught about giving arms not tithing to his disciples and the disciples never collected tithes besides Jesus Christ only oversee offering not tithes. Brother Paul work to take care of himself not through tithe and Paul throughout his ministry never asked for tithe but giving to support the gospel. Tithe is of the law of Moses but giving is of Christ the Messiah.

Bible is the Word of GOD and there is nothing about Old testament or new testament.. Just obey the LORD's words.. If you are so good in the Bible, can you explain this verse in proper explanation 👉 Revelation 13:8 in the light of New testament if Jesus was slain before the Old testament was written ??? 1. Jesus died in the new testament or old testament time ? 2. Is tithe only for Old testament time or even applicable even now if Jesus died before the foundation of the world ?
@drktvarughese146417 күн бұрын
When he was single he gave 50%. He is not revealing how much he gives now. He doesn't reveal what example his children and grandchildren learned from him in giving. He unnecessarily indulged with the word of God and for furthering his own ideology divided the body of Christ and became eligible for the reward of a new disciple mentioned in 1 Timothy 3:6.
