I ventured solo into the most notorious neighbourhood in Manila to see for myself if it's as dangerous as they say. My findings will surprise you.

Filipinos think, and act as Filipinos everywhere in the world. From Tondo to L.A. they keep the same mentalities except that when they're surrounded with non Filipinos, they try to emulate the culture of their host countries.

Oh really eh? Interesting analysis. I really enjoyed my time in the Philippines and met so many of the friendliest people. I'm hoping to return to the Philippines in the coming year.

@@benbrazyoutube Yes, I had fun with some of them. They are great at smiling and singing, but to organize themselves, and take important decisions that's a different story.

Yeah everyone was overwhelmingly friendly. I wish I had had more energy to socialize. I shouldn't have been so nervous to begin with

I've walked around before after midnight and tondo probably a dozen times I never had one problem. I never really carry that much money with me in case s*** happens. But again I have never had a problem.
