Is True Colors the Best Life Is Strange Yet?

I'm so happy they did the series justice! I remember you telling me about losing hope after the second installment and I was truly bummed because we had so much fun playing through the first one together. I still can't believe they thought that no music could be a viable option for games like these. My favourite thing about many games is when the soundtracks turn me on to different artists I wouldn't have otherwise heard. I'm definitely going to get a great experience out of this game when I play it especially since sharing a first name with the main character will only deepen the immersion!

Life Is Strange 2 went completely out there to make a sequel so different from the first 2 games - and for that, I loved it. I get your points - but I feel like LIS2 made me appreciate each encounter with new people knowing it won’t be forever, but we got those connection moments go on longer than the other games do. The power that I felt Sean had was to take care of Daniel. I’m currently in the middle of playing True Colors now - and you’re absolutely right, it brings the game back to its roots. I just haven’t been able to connect to Alex as quickly as I have with Max, Chloe, or Sean. And I’m getting there - she’s just more of a selfless person, so I want her to start putting herself first. But it makes sense she’s an empath with her powers. I’m enjoying the return to “normal” with the game. But, LIS2 will always have the biggest connection with me.

I think everyone connects with the games a bit differently, but I did still really really enjoy LIS 2. but I also found Sean to be a bit stoic for a lead character. It's a very good game, but to me this one best recaptured the magic of LIS 1. And Before The Storm was just straight fan service, so I'm also just really happy to see the series continue and evolve.

@@KyleReaume totally! absolutely agree - I can see how specific games resonate with specific people's even real lives. And BTS is totally a fan service game. Would love to hear your thoughts on the Wavelengths DLC with Steph! I plan to play it this weekend.

@@markn7925 I'm actually playing it right now! I'm about an hour or so in and it's so cute, Steph is just relentlessly charming. And there's a really great segment about Pride in it that's very well done imo. Also found a pride pin that said "be gay do crimes" so 🤣 yeah I'm really enjoying it 💛 I love the spirit of these games!

I have no experience or knowledge of this franchise, but my sister is a mega-fan, and this was the weakest instalment according to her. Interesting.
