He did an interview where he talks about growing up and being in an environment where always had to 'act tough' because it helped him avoid conflicts. He still had to deal with violence, but less of it because less people were willing to risk it if he showed that he could be just as dangerous as they were. He was very sensitive and compassionate, but he couldn't afford to show it all the time. That might be the acting people were referring to. He also was an actual actor, so maybe that too. The interviews are available on youtube if you search for them.

The song is older, he wrote it and recorded it back in 91 and it wasn't released till 98, 2 years after he had pass. Now it's one of his biggest songs ever. P.S. he was 19 when he wrote ot as well. Legend!

Just because he was a actor and a dancer dobt make him a fake person his family was part of the black panthers he grew up poor so manybof his friends were killed and he actually shot 2 people and got away with it in self defense he is a real one and on top of that he let everyone eat off his table so many black clothing lines offered to pay him to put on their gear but he didn't want to take their money he did it for free clothes same with up coming rappers he gave them a spot to shine with out asking for anything in return just loyalty

Definitely was a revolutionary!💯🫡 His mom was part of the black panther movement. Dear momma another good song 🎶 I know what you’re talking about(the acting) after the movie Juice a noticeable change. He started out a more humble guy. Do more research on him if you interested. His story😮💨
