You can look at Italian cartographers maps and see what they named the peninsula. And also the term Turkey means the land not people. Thats what i am trying to say to you. And Turkey is not only anatolia. It includes; Eastern Thrace, Anatolia, eastern (armenian)highlands, northern mesopotamia. The biggest chunk is Anatolia.
