I just spend one week in Turks and Caicos 🇹🇨🇹🇨🇹🇨🇹🇨. As a tourist, yes, I can confirm that things are pretty expensive here and some basic goods are overpriced due to the fact that everything has to be imported since the islands doesn’t produce much. I went here in a vacation flight package from JetBlue and I would say for 3 people I got a good deal with the resort I was staying and I love that it was close proximity to grace bay beach and food from supermarkets. The resort also had activities for me to spend the day. Dining in restaurants is expensive but lucky for me I got a good deal at the market for food and it was very good quality as if it was a restaurant. I do hate that there is no buses here as everything is taxi depended so the prices they put is very steep that I would just go for round trip to hotel and airport. But overall, 🇹🇨🇹🇨🇹🇨 is very interesting place and I got a lot in return. I would go back but not right away. At least I can say I went to a British Overaeas Territory.

One thing to note if you rent a car to get around the island is to remember that they are a British overseas territory which means they drive on the opposite side of the road for us Americans

HEHEHE! I have been here for work... AND before I even watched your video Mr & Mrs Chews, I was literally laughing out loud, as I knew everything you were both about to talk about! So much so, I sent this video to my interns that joined me for this trip. We paid £8 for a can of coca cola there, which is about $12 USD!!! And you're right about all those taxes. Luckily, we were British travellers and every where we went, once they heard our accents, they knew, we as British folk do not tip! Advise your subscribers to learn to speak with a British accent, and there is no expectation of a tip hehehe. As usual, great informative video guys ;)

Hi Chews, You guys visited right after the surge in gang violence in Sept through Nov 2022. The government, with British and Bahamian support, was going to restore order. How was the security situation on your trip? Did you guys feel safe? We plan to visit soon. Hadn’t paid enough attention to the situation before booking. Locals tell me it’s better now. But, I’d like the opinion of a visitor.
