People misunderstood what the other members said about Dahyun, it is not that they do not know her well enough, it is they do not know her as well as other members as she likes to stay in her own room (usually reading or watching free contents (yes she has the money, but dos not want to spend on subscription / premium) on youtube, etc and seldom goes out with the other members. Privately, Dahyun goes out with Tzuyu the most, since both are the quieter type. Chaeyoung is the other who knows her well as they went to school together during the trainee days.

Dahyunie is a true entertainer but above that and all else she will always be a church girl at heart. You can tell that she must have had a somewhat strict type of upbringing by her being a spiritual entertainer at her church, how well she plays piano and her constant perfect posture. Those are 3 things most strict parents will push on their kids. So I kinda of think that being on a stage and / or in front of a camera is where she can release her inner child and be goofy, silly and extra. Dahyunie is the embodiment of the world “Duality” due to her cute, silly, goofy, playful and extra side and also having a very serious, driven, competitive, religious and all business side. Whatever the real case might be with Dahyunie’s persona there’s one thing that is very true about her…She’s more than 1 in a 1,000,000. Kim Dahyun is 1 in a lifetime and I’m so happy that she exists 🤍🤍

Great comment, especially concerning her duality. I once made a comment on an IG post about Dahyun stating that although I'm not religious I admire how she lives her life adhering to her principles as a good Christian. Plus her innate humor and quick wit just makes her such a lovable person in Twice concerts and on variety shows. I also love the fact that she is so talented on piano and, when she sets her mind to it, can compete with Momo and Mina as a dancer.

ITZY's Chaeryeon (like Twice's Dahyun) is my bias for that group. She has such an overwhelmingly sweet/innocent attitude and I really took offense at some of the comments that some "fans" made concerning her looks. However, she endured and, in the past year or so, emerged as a more confident person which helped her popularity. Her appearance on Youngji's show was a highlight of last year. I also enjoyed the content when she went back to school and interacted with her fellow classmates in class and in club activities. I think someone mentioned a 4D personality in another comment. It seems to me that Dahyun, Chaeryeon, Wheein of Mamamoo and Jisoo of Blackpink all share this trait. They find humor and make funny comments in some of the most unexpected places. All 4 are my biases for their groups.

I think Kazuha's weirdness comes from sort of being confused on what's going on around her. I noticed that a number of foreign idols often do and say strange things, mostly due to miscommunication. I think like the others, she's learned the language was fast as possible, but the nuance, slang, and cultural references she's not getting. She's a bit quirky on top of that, so the combination of the two sometimes makes her come off as strange.

I think have to agree with you about Dahyun. It says a lot that even TWICE's members, who should know her the best, still to this day find Dahyun a mystery. If I were to guess, Chaeyoung and Sana probably know her the closest. I've heard them say that off camera she can be pretty quiet and sentimental, but also can be the weirdo we all know her as. So I think Chaeyoung and Sana represent those two sides. When she wants to be chill, she hands out with Chaeyoung. When she wants to be fun, Sana is always up for it. Also, taking what we know about Dahyun's writing credits, it shows a more serious side to her most of the time. So there's this duality going on behind the scenes that ONCE doesn't get to see that often. Lastly I'd like to bring up a theory, and I wonder if anyone else will agree. I think Shuhua is weird, but not in the traditional sense. She's not "brain-dead", overly cute, or something like that, but she's known for her 4-D personality. Her brain just functions in a different reality separate from ours. Combine that with her self confidence and big dominate personality, she just says and does the weirdest things at unexpected times. I think she's weird in a sneaky way, in that it's not obvious. One moment it's typical idol stuff, the next you're hearing a lecture on pooping or else she's doing fashion show in the staircase. The girl just says what she wants whenever she wants, and a lot of the time you don't know what ride you're about to go on.

Yeah a lot of the members of Twice say similar things, she's usually quiet off camera. It wouldn't surprise me if she adopted a "class clown" personality when around strangers because of the attention but is actually more introverted/quiet among friends/family.

Their is no such thing as too weird to be an idol. If an idol is older than Jojo was in 2004 when they debut they are not super young. Spacing out a lot is a major sign that someone is an introvert with ADD.

Dahyun is the idol with the biggest difference between her professional and private personalities but I wouldn't call her a weirdo. She is an entertainer who doesn't take herself too seriously and doesn't mind looking silly as long as people are entertained. She has admitted to having a work personality and a different private one which is why the fans, and even her own members, don't fully know her, just one small part of her that she exaggerates for comedic effect. The fact that the other members all seem to love her tells me she is a good person, even if we don't really know her. Winter on the other hand is a very strange girl (and one of my favourites). I always worry about the clip you showed of her crying at the 'ghost'. Why didn't the other members do more to comfort her?
