I would highly suggest looking into foundation years if you are worried about getting the grades for your course. Its an extra year at uni and you can then go onto the main degree! Uni's do foundation years for so many courses and I've enjoyed being able to settle into uni life without a huge workload yet and also I can within reason, choose my course for next year xxx

I found it interesting to hear you talk about relationships at uni! I have been with my boyfriend for 2 years now and we both started uni September 2018. The way it happened to work was we both are actually at the same uni as both of us loved it, and we are still together ☺️ we do very similar courses- he does history and I do history and politics, so we see each other a lot but we have never fallen out and I love him being here as I can see him more and I already knew someone before coming here! Just to let people know it works out that way too, though we would have tried just as hard had it been long distance!

This video was so useful, I'm in the category of need a degree to do my dream job of social work but the idea of three more years of balancing studying, part time jobs, and class schedules and everything else makes me want to poke my eyes out. How I've got around it is going to a city university so at least there's more going on than studying and classes and they'll be loads of people that just aren't on campus. No offense like, but I've never really been on board with the fetishisation of uni life and uni people but it's true that if you're motivated enough to do anything you'll find a method to get there :))

For anyone worried about the long distance relationships, I've been at uni for 3 years now and still the same guy I was with for 3 years before uni. The best way to make it work is to think about the fact that the person you care about the most is doing what makes them happy and what is important to them. Every time I wish we could be closer I just cherish the idea that we he is at the best uni for the career he's striving for and doing something that makes him happy, and that makes the distance worth it. You have to consider whether their happiness means enough to you to put your worries aside
