I used an overhead projector to project a Sesame Street scene on my son’s bedroom wall. I sketched the characters onto the wall and then painted them in all the primary colors back in the ‘80’s. The wall was painted a sunny yellow and then painted Big Bird leaning on a Lamppost with Bert, Ernie, Oscar the Grouch etc. I turned out fantastic and in the end it helped sell the house!

Thanks for the education on buying used clothing. I learned a lot. Here in Iowa we do not have a lot of of the high end brands. The last couple of years have been difficult to find quality clothing at goodwill.

Karen, you can tell the vintage pumpkin buckets are vintage by the thin handles. The thicker the handle the newer they are. Great clothing haul, lots of good finds!

@@cheryldavis8776 yes, that was really unclear the way I worded it. The band that is wider is newer. The narrower it is, it is vintage. The handle Karen picked was very narrow. Made in USA is vintage as well! Hope that’s clearer for you!

I would put a bow or winter scarf around the bunny. It will get someone’s attention and brighten up your booth. There is a KZbinr who styles booths and it’s very effective in increasing sales.

You need to go to Community Thrift in Muhlenberg PA only about 15 minutes from Shillington on a Tuesday if you are looking for clothing they have great clothing and if you are over 60 it is Senior Day everything is 50% off and they are very clean and neat

Oh so glad you picked up the pumpkins. As soon as I saw them I was screaming at you to look at the bottoms! General Foam and another brand is very collectible. Also any Gemmy brand animated can also be a good pick up. Also any ceramic light ups Halloween or Christmas vintage are good (not just the trees).

Those tablecloths are sold at Vermont Country Store Magazine, or store if you are in Vermont. They are lovely and last forever. , You did not see the rack with Christmas sweaters but they were there on the far side of the sweaters. I was introduced to a new line of nutcrackers. My grandson who is a 20+ collects nutcrackers and I was just wondering what kind I will get him this year. Now I know..thanks for sharing that new kind.

When my kid sister was around 5 years old, she was sometimes kept after kindergarten by a couple who would plunk her in front of the TV that was playing an opera... they reported that her reactions were astounding: on occasion she would be found with tears streaming down her cheeks as she watched! 😢 We never quite understood what it was that brought out this emotion in her... and she couldn't explain. 😔

The vintage halloween/christmas that does well now is the 90s-early 2000s stuff, at least here in Australia! I don't get much for mid century Christmas, but 90s decoupage ornaments, gold plastic icicle chain and the Christmas lights with the pointy star caps...those are the money! All the kids that grew up then are now in their 20s-30s so they're at that time where they want the holidays to be like it was when they were young.

I’m with you on the Fall thing. When I start hearing pumpkin spice, I get very sad. We kind of joke around in my family about what we want when my mom is gone. She is always asking us what we want. So my brother said he wants the Christmas Lampost candle and angel candles, that if you light them you would be lighting their heads on fire. He also wants an old elf from the Jewel T man that You Wind up and plays a song, but his head doesn’t go around anymore. It just kind of flops and grinds. 😂 Ww have some interesting vintage items that mean so much but are not worth anything. The things that are worth something most of us don’t want lol

My favorite is spring, and warm weather in general. I do like the holidays and colors of fall, but it's such a messy and the air smell of decay and musty. The good smells are pumpkin and apple spice and yummy foods. Decor and unity of family and friends bring joy. The season has mixed feelings for me.

Here in the Pacific NW, we never hear about Vinyard Vines, but I learned about the brand during the Alex Murdaugh trial (in SC) on KZbin. Weird way to learn about a brand! YAY, Karen, you're buying clothes! We'll, while you were into h a rd goods, the prices on the clothes were going UP. The side pocket on athletic pants are also used for cell phones. We are going I to winter. Buy some long sleeves.😅 those long tight isles are crazy. Need an opening in the middle.😂.so many tops are soo long, I am petite 5 ft.. I go for comfort a these days.
