@@MissMooreStyle we are getting out of the cold MN weather and going with riviera maya! we booked western carribbean charm at first which i was a little more excited for but we’re part of the group whose cruises were cancelled. they reimbursed our cancelled airfare, gave us $600 loot and honored our original $300 bar tab. so essentially we won’t have to pay for our drinks/excursions which i think is fair!

Different ways of looking at things. A Sea Terrace is the top tier of the "regular" cabins on the ship. Of the 1408 cabins on the ship, only 78 are higher than the Sea Terrace, placing them in the "suite" category. Suites cost a lot more, but are larger and provide additional perks. VV also has solo cabins in the inside, oceanview, and Sea Terrace levels. The benefit of this is that you do not have to pay for a 2 person cabin if sailing as a solo. As you noted, all tips on VV are included. This includes tips on alcohol. Most cruise lines add an 18% tip to a beverage package or alcohol purchased outside a package, again making alcohol on VV ships a better value. I wonder if you included port taxes and government fees in your quotes of other lines. Princess at $819 pp for a week seemed low, so I checked. I did find that fare for the lowest balcony cabin, but there was an additional $120 for taxes and, as you noted, this was the basic fare with no beverages, wifi, tips, or specialty dining. Also, as you noted, Princess and VV are very different. You can ask your stateroom host for additional hangers, but I agree that the magnetic hooks are nice. Best places to meet people--sail away party (complimentary bubbly also!). In addition, most cruise dates have threads on FB and/or Cruise Critic where you can get to know fellow cruisers in advance. Testing requirements are different for cruises in Europe than for cruises out of Miami. As of today, out of Barcelona the test can be taken up to 72 hours ahead while in Miami it is 48 hours. And remember that you must satisfy the entry requirements for the country you are flying into; Spain recently relaxed their requirements, but do check them shortly before your cruise. Overall, a great review--well done.

You’re gonna love virgin! Typically, they have two showtimes for most the shows, one is usually at like 7, the other one I think is 10? I’d recommend def booking earlier dinner reservations on the night you want to book shows. Sometimes dinner can take longer than expected, especially so at test kitchen!

Very comprehensive & informative, beautifully presented! We are doing this cruise in 2 days time, flying to Barcelona tomorrow afternoon. Your 'things to do' are going to be especially useful & we will be following in your footsteps for sure in Marsellle & Olbia, taking the little land train to the basillica & hiring a scooter in Olbia sounds like so much fun! (we have always had motorcycles) but will just have a stroll round Ibiza old town we're not nightclubbers ourselves! Thinking of taking the train from Cannes to Monte Carlo it's only about an hour & a half each way so quite doable if we get off early enough! I am turning 32 this year and don’t have kids, want kids or even really enjoy being around kids so I look forward to someday going on virgin voyages and enjoying a kids free cruise and age really is just a number so I am happy to cruise with people older than me. It will just be nice to be around a fun crowd free of children.

Totally agree age is just a number, and definitely with the crowd who goes on virgin voyages, they’re a fun group. I was just going at this from the age angle bc cruises aren’t something that are very commonly chosen by millennials so it’s more for people our age who might be on the fence about it to see that it’s awesome. My 2 favorite ships so far are the Norwegian Escape, did that for my 50th bday in 2018 and The Oasis of the Seas that ship has my whole heart ❤️!!! I never met an itinerary I didn't like 🤣 However Labadee and Great Stirrup Cay are 2 of my favorite private islands. I know everyone goes crazy over Perfect day at Coco Cay, and while I did have a great time it wasn't my favorite. This November 2022 I will be on Carnival Celebration's inaugural sailing!!! March 2023 I'll be on Anthem of the Seas for my big 55th bday and The Valient Lady in November 2023 will be cruise #10 for me. I can't think of a better way to celebrate that milestone!!!

Great video breaking down the essentials of cruising. I think the best point you made is how you get to go from one city/country to the next without having to pack/unpack and travel to them while enjoying all the amenities on the ship. It took my husband FOREVER to agree to go on a cruise. We finally took the plunge in January. October will be the 3rd cruise we take this year. We chose Celebrity Cruises, which although it is not an 'adults only' cruise, CC slants its marketing more towards 'couples' and LGBTQ demo. The price point is higher (I am specifically speaking about the Edge Series Shipe - the newest ships started rolling out in 2019) but it's hard to say b/c CC bundles packages differently than VV. CC is not as 'party' a ship as VV (I think it's due to the demo) but it has the same types of activities from the types of production shows, day activities, the dance club/lounge (silent disco nights are just so much fun) and poolside games, etc. I think it's just absolutely wonderful you got to experience the cruise and had a fantastic time. That's all that matters. 💕💕💕

So it costs $7 anytime you order anything room service wise BUT what I learned on my second voyage is if you order something and it includes something that costs extra, like a premium drink (lattes, fresh juices, cocktails, wine, beer) then they waive the delivery fee!

There was no sea days on the 7 day med cruise...most days its docked in a new town....so none of us went to the pool because too busy exploring the towns or clubbing in ibiza

Hello! Love your video but have some questions. How do you select your boarding time? Do you have to wait for a certain day to do it? And if there are two of you in a group and one has an earlier boarding time can you still bring the second person?

So to select your boarding time, I believe they open that up on the app at a certain point before the voyage, and usually you’ll get an email that it’s time to go do that (I think…if my memory serves me right). If you want to verify when you can do that I highly suggest calling the VV customer service number and asking them, they’re very helpful and that way if you really are trying to snag the earliest time possible, you get in on that the moment you can have access to that in the app. As far as your last question, if the person who is with you is also your cabin mate, if you go in and select a boarding time I believe it also applies to whomever is in your cabin with you. If they have their own cabin, they may need to just coordinate with you and go in and select their boarding time at the same time you do if you want the same time. I’m not sure if you can just bring the second person to an earlier boarding time if you’re not cabinmates. Def call the customer service number and ask them about that as well if it’s a concern! :)

Actually…I’m going on another voyage with them in about a month and was just filling out my travel info for them…in the app at the last stage of filling out your pre-sailing info, it will ask if you’re flying in the day of the voyage and then it will give you some time slot options for boarding. My voyage is 38 days out so I would check on that in the app as soon as you book your voyage

The free WiFi was great! I never had any issues posting on and scrolling social media or doing my emails, surfing the web, which is really the extent of what I need on vacation. Heavier lifts like streaming videos or uploading videos you’d need to purchase the faster WiFi they offer

Yes they do!!! You can have them do your laundry they also have dry cleaning services too. Takes them maybe a day to get it back to you or you can pay a little extra for rush service :) we used it twice while on our cruise!

For comparison with Royal Caribbean, their drinks package ranges from $50-$70 per person per day. Plus 18% gratuity. So RCCL drinks package would have cost between $825 and $1155. If you are happy that the two of you spent about $700, then Virgin bar tab definitely has some value compared to RCCL.

Fantastic and very informative. I'm trying to plan a VV trip in November. I'm vaccinated, I was wondering if they do covid testing there before you board or do you have to bring one with you two days prior?

They may do it there, but we brought our own tests to take mostly bc at the time we also needed them anyway to get back home to the US. I’d suggest just calling the VV customer service phone line and ask if they offer testing at the port, they are super helpful I called tons of times with all kinds of questions before our voyage. The only thing I will say about waiting right until you get to port is I (personally) would have so much anxiety not knowing if I was positive right up until embarkation. They need a test up to 72 hours before embarkation so I took mine 2 days in advance just for that peace of mind!

I didn’t do any of the shore things mostly bc I wanted to just be able to go ashore and try to see the places we stopped rather than be on some kind of guided tour or doing some activity. But if you do want to do something that’s an excursion, definitely look at places like GetYourGuide or viator for the places you are in port and see what kind of excursions they offer. Oftentimes they have a similar thing that virgin offers and it’s less $$

I guess it just depends…you never know who is gonna book on any given cruise dates or itinerary. We also had a pretty low capacity on our cruise, only 900ish people with a 2700ish capacity
