Thank you so much for your wonderful comment! I’ve got a couple videos in and out of Chicago as well, that’s where all the best Amtrak routes begin and it’s always great to visit. It’s never too late to jump out of your comfort zone and try something new like a cruise, you might be surprised how much you enjoy it! I think around 5 days is perfect for your first cruise because it’s long enough to really enjoy it and not too long if you don’t.

Ugh I went on this cruise for the first time last month and had a mega rockstar suite and we LOVED it. Only downfall was the weather but that’s obviously not the cruise lines fault lol.

That’s amazing, which room were you in and how did you like it? Going from rockstar to regular sailor wasn’t as depressing as I thought it would be, but we were only regular rockstars last time not mega! 😂

It’s definitely not for everyone, but the experience is what you make of it and I enjoy cruising a lot more than I ever imagined I would.

What cruise ship would you recommend for 1st time ?? I’m like your sister about the ships and open water lol.

She had a great time on Virgin, but I would go with something that size or bigger. MSC is going to be the most affordable right now and they have larger ships as well. The Caribbean sailings I’ve been on were smoother than the Mediterranean so maybe start with the one out of Florida.

Yes those areas are very different amongst all three ships, we’ve done two on Scarlet Lady and two on Valiant Lady… love them both!!
