Well apparently the defendant abdicated her 50 percent and asked the plaintiff to watch them. The decision will come down to whether there was an agreement. In any case I wouldn't enter into such an agreement. I would just watch the kids because they are essentially family .

They arent competing. The defendant literally gave the plaintiff her ex, her kids, her financial troubles and dipped. 😂 There was no competing, the defendant said “you can have it, bye.” The plaintiff is just having buyers remorse from playing step mommy.

I looked after my ex’s kids. Picked them up from school, help with homework, give them a bath. It never occurred to me to be paid for it. If that was the case I would have said no. Also if I’m paying a nanny to watch my kids I would be upset if she was also watching other kids at the same time unless she cleared it with me.

the case seems absurd but i kinda see what happened. The mother and father were supposed to have split 50%-50% custody, so no child support is ordered. but then the father was asked to have 100% custody by the mother, and it doesn't seem like she started paying him child support after that. the girlfriend thinks since she was watching them in her mind "for the mother", the mother owes her, but really the father should probably be suing for child support. But maybe there's more to it in the next part!

There is no evidence that the father still wasn't being squeezed for child support. That happens plenty, justified by a "judge" because the father usually makes a better living than the mother. I'll tell you what..... no way did the mother pay child support when he had them full time.

Just an observation, but it's frustrating to me when Judge Judy is inconsistent on having plaintiffs or defendants state what other people said. She usually cuts them off and says "that's hear say". In this case, she asked the defendant a question and she mentioned how the boyfriend had agreed to take the kids for an extended period. Seems like 99/100 times, she would usually not allow that as "hear say".
