That actually looks and sounds pretty good. No SBMM but with strong team balancing is exactly how it should be, along with a ranked mode that doesn't allow crossplay. I've also been waiting for a shooter with faster movement for ages.

Ranked mode allows cross play iirc, it doesn't allow cross inputs. Meaning if you use a controller you won't go against MnK users and vice versa.

The beta was incredible, and with the improvements they’ve mentioned already, I hope these videos reach a massive audience. Mark already said matchmaking can have crossplay but will be matched via input so controller vs controller, MNK vs MNK, and you’ll only get mixed inputs if parties are mixed. You’ll also be able to make crossplay consoles only. Can’t wait for the full release!

If they can unfuck that net code they will have a banger on their hands!! Coming from an IT background I can tell you that net code can be messy to get straightened out though. There are lots of games, including some CoD games, with with sketchy hit reg. Overall I have some high hopes for this game!! Keep up the good stuff Nate!!

They have already said the net code in the beta was an older version. The updated one just wasn’t ready for the closed beta.

@@scottoliver9594 They can say whatever they want. This version was horrible, so even an update may not be ready for prime time FPS. Getting net code to work out isn't as easy as folks think. For years the code that TreyArc used was pretty meh compared to what IW ran with.

Since this game is so objective focused, having no killstreaks or scorestreaks is a real positive. Even when you have scorestreaks, the fear of losing your streak makes it so a lot of players dont play the objective.

Game sounds amazing! I didn't sign up in time for the closed beta but would love to try the open one when it happens. If they can fix the net code this game will be fantastic! Not even worried about operator balancing because that gets tuned in every game over time.

Looks interesting. I only want to see if they can develop a solid ranked mode. A good start is knowing that controller/mnk is separated in that mode... which is logic. I´ll see. What about the skill gap, Nate? I´d like to see a game that requires a reasonable amount of time to master and know all the mechanics and concepts.

I hope it kills cod. The guns feel like older cods but the movement is probably a little too quick to compare ie: sliding abuse lol. Also i hope they don't add killstreaks. If this game can be successful without the use of adding additional gimmicks in game and instead solid gameplay and gameplay mechanics, that's all that matters. People need to see this as it's own game. While it's going to contend with CoD, the whole point is to do what CoD is doing wrong.

You wanna know why devs always put up to the right recoil? It's to make it easy for controller players. When you're holding right stick rotate down the left, it's much easier than to pull your thumb towards your hand and down to the right

Great to hear. Haven't played the beta myself but this looks promising. I don't keep my hopes up though and get all excited. I believe it when I see it. Haven't played cod in like almost 10 years I think and knowing how cod is nowadays i will never do again. It's not a game anymore. It's a simulator based on statistics to achieve as much player retention as possible (aka profit) I cannot comprehend the game still sells as much as it does to older generation gamers as myself. When i first tried the closed beta i had the same feeling, a great "old style cod game", but i think it gonna have a short life span cuz is only appealing to "og cod palyers". new generations see this game as a "cod mobile for pc and console" and if they don't play it , the game will die very fast. the reason i say this is beacuse if this game is only played by "og cod players" it means that we are old heads with a life, work and don't have much time to play. teenagers makes the 70% of the player base, and a F2P with only cosmetics as source of ravanue that isn't appealing for them is not gonna make it against modern cods and battle royals.

So... its like the good old MW2 with better movement? no killstreak spams, and one man army ? no elevators? (i kinda miss that one lol) sign me up! Not sure what the difference is with SBMM and strong team balancing, but if the netcode is fixed and my bullets actually hits them when they should, thats great. cuz later COd it gives me a delay, no matter what i do with setting or internett. unless, i play bad for 10 rounds, then its back to normal, and i do fairly well, then to get slapped in the face with delays again in the next rounds.

Everyone has really good fakes on this game and the BEST part, I’m fairly certain they aren’t paying all you guys off lol ACTIVISION on the other hand, whitelisting hackers who get exposed, no communication to the community, just losing touch with cod core values. COD pros, streamers, regular KZbinrs… everyone is loving this game and I can’t wait. Yes the server was shit, it was a TRUE beta. They addressed the netcode, they said it’s a preview, not the actual game servers so it’ll be more stable. Literally everyone has server complaint but if that’s all? I’m still hyped.

Another issue I’ve noticed the fps drops. Not like during a gun fight it’s like when you die or right before you die. I don’t have a bad feeling pc either it’s a 13900k with a 4070ti.

Wish I could've tried it but when I first tried to launch it on the 2nd or 3rd day it just black screened my PC. I got to the screen where it tells you this is a beta and not all progress transfers over and then bam, my monitors went black and my PC's fans were going into overdrive, so I shut off my pc and was like "yeah maybe I won't play this".

For me xDefiant is similar to Black Ops 4. It's a BOTG FPS with specialist abilities etc and I'm glad it is getting attention from players because it will define the future for Call of Duty. I admire the new engine that was introduced in MW2019. So far the only games that have utilized this new engine is MW2019, Vanguard and MWII...all BOTG shooters. We will need to see a COD that re-introduces movement and abilities on this new engine. COD needs that arcade feel again on their new engine. I'm glad xDefiant is looking to fill the current void.

Heres my problem, when are we going to get new ideas and get out of this arena/battle royale era. I am currently so bored and tired I have been gaming foooooorrrreeevvveerrrrr(Orignal Atari Owner) and the games currently are killing my love for games with this crap. All the millions of people at every studio the billions of dollars through monetization. Do you mean to tell me there is no one with an Original game Idea. The only game I am actually looking forward to trying at this moment is Arc Raiders. I know I just ranted about original ideas and as of what it seems as of now there is some reused ideas sprinkled in it, but I hope from what it looks like and the lil shared with us so far that it will hold true and be much much more.

i agree new cod's are slow and boring af with the big maps, and 6vs6 on mw2 maps suck ASS. this game kinda reminds me of cold war but this game is faster.
