Is XMondo Wavetech Foam worth the money? Honest comparison and affordable alternative

The x mondos side looks wayyy more natural than the maui side. Makes it look like the curls are there naturally instead of it looking like crunchy mousse curls. Either way, they definitely both worked!

Yes! The Xmondo looks more natural but on the down side, it gets frizzy very quick. The crunchiness 😂 keeps the frizz at bay much better. Just depends on what you’re looking for.

@@ruthievanessa3072 NY hair doesn't get frizzy with it. But I also make sure to do my full hair care before applying any foams. But cruchiness also dries my hair out too much, which my curls are already dry and crunchy

I agree with my peeps below that the XMondo gave you better defined curls that were more natural looking. The Maui side looks frizzy already and I feel like in an hour it's going to look whoosh (which if you have curly hair like me you know the second your hair goes from super curly to whoosh frizz.) I don't own any XMondo products mostly due to price. I do use Maui conditioner and it works well, but this video actually turned me off other Maui curl products.

Wow!!! I am going to order some Maui! My daughter has epic long hair like you....I need to buy her this and try it out!!! I keep mine about half her length. I've been wanting to experiment with some new hair products and was considering trying the Wavetech, but I think I'll take your advice and try the Maui instead. I already use their shampoo and conditioner. Appreciate the comparison!

Some of you are crazy, mondo side looks more natural and healthy. While the other side looks crunchy and dry asf. But your hair is pretty. I'll stick to brad mondos wave tech for my curls. Because I get my hair wet in the shower do the conditioner as a hair mask while I scrub my body then wash it out and then do the shampoo then condition again. And then apply the rest of my hair care. But I do understand not everyone makes the same amount.

To me it looks like Brads wave tech gave you a more structured curl pattern. Like the curls stayed more spiral where as the other kinda looks like it bent and went straighter in a few spots. Maybe just the way you were playing with your hair or the video quality. Just curious though if that was the case. Lmk thanks!

I think because the Wavetech has a much softer hold, the curls were able to just fall and stay softer. The Maui Moisture has a stronger hold so maybe because of that, however my hair was bent in the clips, it held the hair in that position. I tried to do both sides as similar as possible but also, the more I play with the Wavetech side, the frizzier it gets. I find that I have to run some water through my hair to tame the frizz, when I use the Wavetech. I hope that helped! Thank you for watching and commenting!

I don't think she was biased. I tried the foam from XMondo n I have drugstore foams that out perform it. I gave the XMondo foam to a friend to try. She then gave it to another friend to try. Truth

I have 2C/3A curl patterns in my hair. It's always a challenge to find the right product. I love XMONDO leave in conditioner. I have Wavetech, and while I love the definition it gives, but I find it leaves my hair feeling sticky. Is it just me?

I didn’t find that it left my hair sticky. It could possibly be a mix of products. Maybe the leave in mixed with Wavetech is giving you that sticky feeling.

@@ruthievanessa3072 I actually don't use anything else when I use Wave Tech. The one time I used Hydromania + Wave Tech, it was SUPER sticky feeling!! Maybe its just the texture of my hair + product combo 🤷‍♀️ I'm still going to use Wave Tech, tho, because I like that my curls are defined without being crunchy. I'll deal with the sticky for that!! 😊

@@lisadavis7180 yeah, I find his stuff a bit grim. I've looked up what other hairdressers think of him, and while some of it may be envy, I think there are valid reasons to question his expertise (hairdressers apparently very rarely use more than 20 volume)
