People don't realise the situation because of Genesis 6 ( the Watchers) , they don't have a clue about the context at the time, the DNA was so corrupted ( nephilims), and they perpetuated violence, all these nations ending with "ite" are all nephilims. The supernatural and the earthly met and it wasn't good. So Yahuah had to make these decisions and set the Law for the good of mankind. People have to approach Scriptures with this in mind , otherwise they interprete the wrong way. It's about having the mindset of the anciens people at the time , they had this supernatural world view. Also, gnosticism with their conception of the demiurge utterly confuse people's mind.
