Hi Wes, Interesting video. I’ll give you my take on the whole discussion. I support companies like Yeti, Patagonia, REI and Orvis, to name a few, through product purchases for the following reasons: 1. They all produce quality products that tend not to fail. If a product does fail, they stand behind it with good customer service. 2. They tend to underwrite the programs I watch and enjoy. Without this support the programs, documentaries and films simply would not get made. 3. They donate to environmental causes that are important to me, and allow me to enjoy and appreciate nature. 4. They tend to pay their employees a living wage. It’s easy for me to care about people who care about others. Sure, Ozark Trails stuff is cheaper, and quality is decent, but how many of their hard working people are subsidized by federal or state assistance programs? 5. I may have some liberal views but I’m still a capitalist. This means I’m definitely not opposed to a company making a good profit, providing they are good corporate citizens and give a little back. Anyway, that’s my 2 cents. If you have the means, think about what you are actually supporting with your next purchase. -Ed

Excellent points Sir. I would be curious to know if Yeti pays the folks who manufactures their products in Taiwan, etc a decent wage. I own Yeti myself, but I also feed good when I buy some products from Orca, Grizzly, Cordova. It would be interesting to know if those folks are paid a decent wage since they are American Made.

They are worth it period. I have several 20,35 and 65 probably will get a bigger one when I get a big boat. 5 year warranty. my 35 is over 5 yrs old and still mint. If you actually are outdoors and use your stuff hard and a lot, these are the pick. Yeah there is other brands but still can’t beat the warranties and standards they produce

Great vid, very unique angle brought to the yeti discussion. Thanks for doing the research. Is that a paddle board above you? Any vids coming up with it? Digging the marine content.

Interesting video .. .. always thought anyone buying one was a sucker but just ordered my Roadie ..btw, new from a 3rd party for 20% less than msrp and I am sure there's profit for everyone involved ..they bury profit with soft expenses etc ..prob impossible to tell from public filings what it costs.

If you can afford one there great (yes other companies make great collars) and they have amazing customer service. For example my dad ordered an American made one directly from them and it wasn’t an American made one, he called and within the week they had an American made one out to us.

Yeti is the best. I own more than a few of the Yeti products and honestly the product speaks for itself. Those that complain about it just can not afford it. For them ozark is at Walmart.

It is all what one values spending their money on. I know a few with plenty of means that drive cars below their station, who think Yeti is a waste of money. Not knocking Yeti, I own plenty myself.

Wess I would just enjoy your Yeti and forget about margins etc. Let Yeti worry about that. If people want to spend $200 on a cooler let them, who cares. If they don’t there are many other coolers that will fit their budgets . I like the KZbin videos where they want you to inject foam into the cover of an inexpensive cooler ( making a serious mess doing so) then saying NOW you have a Yeti ! It’s all ridiculous to me, but that’s just my humble opinion …
