Why is Light Elegance HEMA Free? While many brands use it for adhesion and lowering costs, we avoid it along with HEA and IBOA to drastically lower the risk of allergies. Small molecular sized monomers like HEMA are known to penetrate the skin more easily than our state-of-the-art formulations high in premium oligomers, cause irritation and often lead to nail allergies.
At Light Elegance, we prioritize quality and safety. We manufacture products from scratch here in Redmond, Oregon with high-quality ingredients to minimize allergic responses for industry safety. We believe, What's Inside Matters!

Cuticle oil is meant for keeping the skin hydrated, but it can also help prevent super dry/brittle nails from curling away from product if very dehydrated!

I jus started using builder gel and have issue lifting at the free edge. It separates after two days. I used LE tack and Lexy hard gel. I have no issues with cuticle area. I tried capping the free edge but still separates l. Any suggestions?
@LightEleganceHQ

This could be due to many things, but we would recommend reviewing your nail preparation - proper LE prep can be found here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fGKVi519nbNjobMsi=UgfIXVlgUPi1lTko , application thickness (too thin or too thick), making sure the builder gel you are using is the proper flexibility for your nail type. If the gel is "too hard" for your natural nail type, it may not flex/bend with your natural nail and that can cause lifting. Check your curing lamp, are you using an LEDdot? how old is it, is it still properly curing? Lastly, if your nails are prone to be more oily or watery, you may need to use Airbond prior to Tack to properly dehydrate the nail plate. Hope this helps!

Are you using Light Elegance gels? If so, you can find our recommended prep here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fGKVi519nbNjobM We also recommend using Cleanser that does not contain any fragrance, oils or dyes as those can affect adhesion, same with your cleansing wipes! Another important tip is making sure you are using a gel (and adhesive) that is best for your natural nail type. You do not want to use something too hard or too flexible for your nails.

Hello, when it comes to proper prep, it is important to note that many brands use ingredients such as HEMA monomer because it is good for adhesion and cheap and is therefore popular among many manufacturers that choose price over quality.
We choose to formulate without ingredients such as HEMA, HEA, IBOA and other ingredients known to be more likely to create an allergic response. Because we do not use these ingredients, proper prep is key to maintaining long lasting gel nails with LE!

You can find our suggested prep for our various gels here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fGKVi519nbNjobMsi=kDQq-zOrx0F_VKfT Another important note is ensuring your curing lamp is high quality and tested for curing the product you are using. We recommend our LEDdot & MiniDot to cure out gels

My problem is i have lifting from the free edge.. any tips for that?
@LightEleganceHQ
@LightEleganceHQ 4 ай бұрын
It could be due to many reasons, your curing lamp, using the proper builder gel for your natural nail type, application too thick or thin at the free edge, dry nails (cuticle oil), nail prep and bonding agents! Without knowing what product you are using and the steps you do, it is hard to help troubleshoot. We have many other tutorials on our channel that will help you with application and finding the right products for you!

@@LightEleganceHQ I have the same problem! My gel nails come out looking so nice but it ends up lifting from the free edge the very next day. I wear gloves when I do house chores. I start off applying a dehydrator and primer then I use the beetles base gel polish, I cure this for 60 seconds using a LED lamp, then I apply my AIMELI colour gel, I cure this for 60s also then I go in with the beetles top coat cured for 60s too. What am I doing wrong? My lamp is a cheap one, could that be the reason why?

using cuticle oil too much won’t cause the product to lift sooner?
@LightEleganceHQ
@LightEleganceHQ 5 ай бұрын
Cuticle Oil actually helps prevent the natural nail from drying out too much and potentially curling away from the product on the underside of the nail. If you experience lifting at the cuticle, it is most likely due to improper prep. We always recommend cuticle oil to keep the nails & cuticle healthy and hydrated, we hope this helps!

We promise you can work a hands-on career and still have no lifting! Your nails may just require a hard builder gel that is right for you (instead of a soakable builder gel) and a combination of bonding agents that works for your natural nail type and the kind of work you do 😊 Check out our Lexy Line to learn more!

I worked as a bartender and a waitress, in retail and as an administrative assistant, all of which were very hands on, i had no lifting. First I suggest you use a hard gel instead of soft gel. Second, maybe you length is to long for your job. I did find keeping my nails at a more active length, resulted in less breakage and lifting. Also, the use of good cuticle oil everyday, will help prevent lifting and free edge separation.

What if they lift at the free edges
@LightEleganceHQ
@LightEleganceHQ 5 ай бұрын
This could be due to a number of reasons! Proper prep is key, making sure to cap your free edges, using a high quality lamp and not using a gel that is too hard or too flexible for your natural nails
@ez7096
@ez7096 3 ай бұрын
@@LightEleganceHQ Do you suggest capping free edge with base coat with top coat or just a normal gel colour? Everytime I cap the free edge, my lamp doesn't manage to dry it so it ends up being wet, going everywhere.
@LightEleganceHQ
@LightEleganceHQ 2 ай бұрын
@@ez7096 The free edge should always be capped! It sounds like you are not using a proper high quality gel lamp, there should not be uncured gel after curing! We would highly recommend checking out some of our Chemist Corner videos on curing and our LED MiniDot or LEDdot lamps to ensure proper curing and safety when using gels to avoid allergies.

I think one step is missing after the bonder. You should apply a thin layer of base before the builder gel. It acts as an extra bond between your nail plate and the gel, and it also gives some cushioning to your natural nail, as it is flexible and not hard as builder gel. I didn't know i was supposed to do that so my gel would literally pop off the next day, even if i prepped correctly and put primer/bonder on.

My whole dilemma is I'm a dog and cat groomer. My hands are constantly in water all day long. I try to grow my nails out but they're brittle and then and everything just comes off faster because of the frequent contact with water.
@LightEleganceHQ
@LightEleganceHQ 6 ай бұрын
For people with their hands in water a lot, we recommend our hard builder gels, the Lexy Line. Hard gels are more durable and less affected by frequent exposure to moisture. We would also recommend using our AirBond before Tack Bonding Agent to ensure excess moisture in the nail bed is removed prior to the gel application. And lastly, it is always best to wear gloves to protect your hands and nails 😊
