Just to let you know.. This is a hotel, but people do actually have houses with this same style of washrooms. I have had the luxury of using the same and the Captain Morgan pose is the actual way to go about it. You could also just use the WC to sit and bathe. But, let's face it... Where's the fun in that.

Let me tell you a little story about how my brother wondered around middle of the night going to 4 different “hotels” and none of hem were hotels 😂 they all just served food. So hotel in India in the older days meant a place to sit and eat food is what I heard. One time we where in Bangkok and our train had arrive at 10 pm Christmas Eve and we hadn’t booked a hotel...we wondered around to maybe 4-5 different hotels and hostels only to find them all booked up because of holiday. In the end we found an amazing hotel and got to meet the owner who was having a Christmas Eve party on the rooftop, after conversing for a bit and drinking and eating we got along really well and ended up booking a trip to a very small island somewhere in the middle of nowhere..sometimes things like this can lead to Many great adventures, Cheers Mr Bald (sorry for the long comment)

In 2013 I stayed 2 months in Philippines. In Manila and Ilo Ilo with my mom and my sister to visit our family, It was an amazing trip and eye opener and walking through the markets I had the same experience. Honestly I did it once, travelled Asia, come back with stories to a good mate...went together...so full of fun and adventure lol, NO could not bear for me to do stuff alone, split up, do our own thing just for a day, I ended up babysitting a petulant over grown child who thought he was on holiday in Minorca with his mum!. His my best mate, still love the guy, but never again 👍

Not a scam. Some of the cheapest restaurants are called 'hotels' as the poorer sections of the society associate hotels with food. The regular places are appropriately named.

Rs.2200 for any room in Girgaon, Bombay is good enough, and you got it cheap because it is an OYO. A Good hotel in that place would cost you around 5000-6000.

In India a restaurant in many instances is called a hotel, don't ask me why, so if you ask the locals where the hotel is they will tell you, you really have to tell people you are looking for Lodging rather then a hotel. The only time people will understand what a hotel is are high-end tour operators booking 3, 4, or 5-star hotels, otherwise its Lodging.
