In the IT world, you may hear the terms right of “boom” and left of “boom” when we talk about cybersecurity. “Boom” being when a cyber incident occurs in an organization.
Left of Boom refers to identifying possible risks and protecting the organization from cyber incidents by putting in place controls and measures to mitigate those risks. Examples include things like access management, patching, multi-factor authentication, endpoint protection, and cybersecurity awareness training.
Right of Boom refers to what happens after an event, including detection, incident response, recovery efforts, and an analysis of what needs improvement to better manage future risks.
Both Right and Left of Boom are crucial for a well thought out cybersecurity strategy.
In this webinar we will focus on Right of Boom dialing into the detection, response, and recovery side of building a cyber resilient organization.
