Or the Liquid metal is dripping down causing a dry spot because the ps5 is standing vertically causing it to overheat due to lack of heat transfer. That's how i fix a family member's ps5. I simply replaced the liquid metal with thermal paste. Sure the liquid metal is superior but the thermal paste won't drip and you will not have the same issues again leaving it standing.

Same here. It’s my only device that constantly loses internet connection and has ridiculously slow download speed. I thought it was my internet, but even when it’s the only thing using internet, it ranges from 5mbps to 150mbps. Wifi or ethernet, manual DNS setups, all the tricks for a good connection….still takes 3 hours to install a game that should take 30 minutes. I paid way too much for this console to have non-stop problems from the beginning.

I def think the build of the xbox is far superior than PS5. I know a tech guy that repairs both consoles and he gets a ton of PS5 consoles for overheating and having to clean them. He says it takes a whole ton of dust buildup in an xbox for overheating to occur.

I can't say I've had any overheatings yet, and I've had my PS5 for the better part of 2 years. The worst I've had was a couple of random crashes during a Spider-Man 2 session, within that game's first two weeks, and a moment just yesterday where the console randomly froze just after the PS5's home menu loaded. I rebuilt the database and cleared the cache, along with uninstalling a few games I no longer play for good measure, and no more such lockups have happened since. I finally cleaned the fan properly yesterday, as well (I'd previously only swabbed and vaccummed around the fan ventilation and the black vents, as well as vaccuuming the holes above and near the PSU, once the top cover is off). As far as I could see, the absolute worst of the dust was on the fan.

If the console is standing up then you should lay it down on the side and keep it in a well ventilated area and not in a crowded place. This should fix the problem.

One another pro tip don't have PS5 on base stand. Have it at vertical side because the liquid metal could be leading into some issues and could lead into overhetading issues. You should always put your fan out completly too clean it completly. When it's first dust on it it could be having dust on the thin plates and could be difficault too remove it from the distances you are showing and it's always good too doing it very well at the first attempt.

I removed the fan. Remember, the 4 screws are all different lengths so they will have to be reinstalled into the same holes. I took a shop vac and vacuumed out all of the dust. Then I rotated the hose so the air can blow out and I blew all of the dust out of the PlayStation. I reconnected all the screws and now it’s working excellent. You’ll also want to dust the area where the PS5 sits so the unit doesn’t suck any new dust back in. I will post a step by step video on my page and I guarantee you this method will work flawlessely.

If you don't get any notification when it turns off, it's a problem with the PSU. The same thing happened to me and it was full of dust. The PSU cuts power without warning when it gets hot so as not to damage any components

I've took it fully apart to check hdmi port and ended up having a shop do it and haven't fully tore it down since then should I check and make sure I'm not leaking liquid metal?
