I purchased nexon xmas Diesel in Sept 21. There is oil seepage from gearbox(1300km on odo) SC has asked me to drop vehicle for gearbox assembly replacement. @TATA Motors Cars must ensure the quality before delivery of vehicle.

That's why I always say 5 star safety doesn't mean 5 star product and service ,today's new era game is of safety earlier it was quality and future is techie features . Automakers is taking some random paths in order to sell vehicles nowadays . I as a Maruti owner and a VW owner can say pretty much that only German and Ford cars are genuinely 5 stars product in terms of quality and service .

Want to clarify 2-3 things to the Owner. A) when your car is waterlogged then it affects not your car's sensors it also affects ECU (electronic control unit). It may throw random errors and the only solution is to replace it/ repair it. This isn't a manufacturing problem. Obviously, no car manufacturer provide you security for waterlogging. B) Noise- I hear too much complaint regarding noise in Tata AMT/ Nexon in general. Trust be cabin noise is very minimal. I saw this guy pushing the accelerator at a slow speed which is completely wrong. C) Door opening issue- There is a child lock function for each door (except driver seat) to prevent accidental door opening and it is a safety feature, not a manufacturing defect. The owner looked more panicked for some uncertain reasons. I own Nexon AMT (2019 model) and I have driven it in one of the roughest conditions (Flood, damaged roads, 6 adult and rural roads). Car is totally trustworthy and has not given me a single problem till day.

About child lock feature then Normally if you open the door , It doesn't get activated for no reason . His point is valid . And about waterlogging problem then If any sensor is having error , and if tata service centre cannot do anything , then what the person need to do ??? . Just pray to god and hope everything will be alright then ??? . Even if you buy a pen , some will get defective piece and will share -ve views. But if you are that kind of person who cannot digest these facts then plz don't search such videos in first place .

This frustration is being faced by many of Tata owners. Yes other brands are also having issues not just Tata only.. But if they have a TAGLINE *VOCAL FOR LOCAL* stuck on over corner of your vehicle then this isn't acceptable atall. The main reason i didn't opted for TATA car was due to service issues.. Even before visiting any of car showroom I visited service centers first. Took some time but got feedback from REAL OWNERS. So it's a request TATA, if you're emphasizing on VOCAL FOR LOCAL then do something about your SERVICE. We don't want to hear ki sir Yeh toh aisa hi hota.. Aisa Hota Hai toh thik bhi hoskta hai. We are paying for that service 😑

After spending 10 lakhs and in just 2 months if the owner doesn't have the confidence to take his car outstation it's nothing but tragic. This owner is not asking for the moon. He has just expected his vehicle to be normal and not lose his peace of mind. The hype created around 5 star safety ratings of Tata Cars is taking it's toll now as new buyers are blindly buying these cars without checking out whether the car is really worth the hype. I recently came across a owner experience video on KZbin for Tata Tiago in which the owner explained how the company was forced to change the entire engine of the car as there were problems in a brand new Tiago within months. All these silly issues show Tata Motors in a really bad light. But is the company bothered ? I don't think so .

Never ever buy a car without test drive guys. Genuine feedback from the owner! TATA selling their cars showing NCAP safety ratings which is good but need to work on the basics. A petrol car makes noise like a diesel car, unbearable vibration, pathetic after sales. Ford also selling cars with three cylinder engine never had this kind of vibration.

This is not just service center issue. This also clearly shows the manufacturing problems of Tata Motors. Different cars of the same model has different problems and nobody has any solutions. It only means one thing, lazy manufacturing. Ideally 99 out of every 100 cars from the same manufacturing facility should be same.

I am also Tata nexon owner. Owning the car from 2018. I had a terrible experience once after my engine light turned ON during my night highway drive, suddenly there was a power loss from engine. Just took a long break then issue didnt appear back. Even after complaining to dealer, they didnt agree.I also face frequent electrical faults issues with car. Engine check light comes on and disappears and same applies to ABS light. But it disppears automatically. Even harmann display stops working ans starts again. If I want to show to service person, he will not agree. Yes agree TATA needs to improve with this electrical issues.

Check for loose connections or wire cut near tyre in case of abs light, in my xuv 500 the abs wire was broken because of the friction with the tyre itself. Power loss is due to limp home mode, might be a faulty MAF sensor, or issue with diesel supply to engine, replace diesel filter once if facing same problem frequently

Also regarding Engine light, my nexon is petrol one, I guess the lim home mode is in diesel model.... Anyways since long time after my service, I didnt face engine light issue.

I think the real problem with Tata is the fact that the R&D engineers are made to work on new models before rectifying the issues or making improvements on the existing models. This is why we have quality control issues in almost all the models. They should be given time.

Agree with you I have Purchase nexon diesel amt in March 22 not satisfied at all in bumper to bumper trsffic many jerks and due to lag it is difficult to drive in city. Company has change the clutch at 10k kilometre. It is not possible to change the ckutch every 10 to 15k kilometres Amt unit needs much improvement compared to others.maruti amt is best . And ac compresser sound inside the car is very loud n irritating . My manual cars clutch last at least for 1 lakh kilometres. I always drive car with light accelaration .

I have AMT Nexon. In the first few weeks I also had same feeling of jerks & lag. But after driving it for over a year now I would say its just technique of pressing accelerator. Now I don't get any jerks or lag. The trick is that don't be harsh & you have to handle your car (accelerator) gently & it will be smooth...the car is amazing..& driving is fun...I don't know why this man has so many issues???

Have shortlisted nexon petrol amt nd kia sonet amt but leaning towards a Renault kiger turbo cvt combo, I feel the kiger is any day more fun to drive.cvt in sports mode is v responsive. What do u think of the kiger?? How's it compared to nexon nd sonet amt?? The other variants are beyond my budget.

I bought Nexon dark edition, I am not at all happy with the AMT , one will definetly feel frustrated in traffic. It lags a lot in shifting from neutral to 1st gear and then pushes with jerk in 2nd gear. Moves back for few seconds in up hill. Except safety there is nothing to feel good. It’s headache to drive in traffic

Main problem is that Tata is a trusted brand and doing well in India and abroad but the company ia not successful in terms of providing satisfactory service is because of their poor salary to the employees compared to the market standard. They've believed in quantity not quality. You can consider any subsidiary of Tata, in any case their service to customer is not satisfactory.

The remarks are eye opener for others. In the name of 5 star safety badge they are giving worst service. Since people raised so much demand, company is not bothered on proper service. Even the sales persons have the attitude that take the vehicle if u want otherwise quit. There should be a technical study befor booking the Tata car. The build quality given by Volkswagen or skoda is much superior to new Tata vehicles.

Mine XZA+ Diesel has jerk issue persistent since last 02 years. Car has stayed upto 30 days in SC, replaced Injector, Flywheel etc, but jerk still persistent, reduced though. Tata makes 5 star cars, but theri service is 3rd class. Customer will be hopeless

I faced Gearbox leakage in first month. They changed it. After 3 months, faced issue of loosing engine power when AC is on. Mid light on. Car is in service centre for engine oil leakage due to Tappet cover. Waiting for part from factory. Apart from these issues car gives good feeling with 8 mileage in city. Just hoping for a better experience.

I have Nexon AMT BSVI 2020 Model. Not a single issue. Done 15000 kms, Great car, Great service experience. Yes, if you need mileage only go for Maruti. It seems youtubers mostly pick and show negative reviews only once they experience some bad experience themselves for the same brand. They start ruining brand and show like every customer is going through these issues. One is DDS frustrated with his Tigor experience and he shows all Tata reviews like this only. Indirect frustration for brand but not all face these issues. This type of videos were expected as you recently done one video with DDS recently. The same vibe is here now.... Never buy a car basis youtuber reviews, the same youtubers opinion keep changing depending on promotion money, their own experience with brand.....

I have faced the issue with the seat belt sensor on the second day of getting delivery for my Tata Tiago NRGA. I bought Tata for safety and the seat belt had an issue. Even if check light bas gone off, the computer stores the code specifying why light came on. Why did the dealership not check that code using an abd scanner ??? It is not safe to drive the car without checking that stored code.

I've Nexon Diesel AMT, not facing any of these issues. Few issues of rattling noise from co-driver door, that too service station guys are saying they will resolve when I leave the vehicle. I took test drive of petrol AMT and did not buy due to Jerks. Diesel is smooth.

The diesel AMT is much better than petrol. Remember. Take a test drive of the petrol Nexon AMT. You will hate this car. You are lucky to have the diesel AMT brother. I have taken test drive of both the petrol and diesel AMT. Trust me, the difference in the AMT performance is huge. There is hardly any Jerk in shifts in diesel. Also it shifts quite fast. But the petrol AMT is just a painful experience.

Or sir jo baat rhi lag ki vo amt me mostly hota h or usko compensate karne ke liye nexon acha mileage provide karti hai jo xuv300 nhi de payegi. Still I respect his opinion, at the end he is also an owner of tata nexon.

If you are really keen on AMT then at least go for a finely tuned box . After looking at this review I don’t think so any one should go for nexon amt petrol . May be try diesel AMT . Some folks are saying it is better .

@@bhanuprakash7440 bhai read my full comment, I've booked diesel variant and maine test drive li hai. After that I am telling amt gearbox is fine. Yes there is lag, it is evident for sure. But if you drive in city you don't need so much punch bro so there it works like a full amt and in traffic jam also you are good. Or baat rahi car bhagaane ki bhai it rides amazing in sports mode and I'm talking about the diesel one. Still if you want no lag that time you can drive it in manual mode and you are good to go. Or bhai amt me 2-3 ka difference nahi aata 6-7 ka difference aajata h. Or nexon petrol to leni hi nhi chahiye nexon petrol to manual mein bhi bhot kam mileage deti h

I am planning to buy a Nexon dark edition AMT variant. Now I am really concerned. I think it's not okay to buy a much acclaimed safe car and then struggle to have a pleasant ownership experience. All that the customer has been sharing are quality control and service issues. I hope TATA takes note of this and ensures they have proper quality checks and train their service staff.

There are a few good things in nexon, but many negatives too, A pillar &C pillar design too thick Hinders vision while changing lane, Rear windshield too small,in fact it's roof curvature is like that ,for tall people it affects vision ,particularly in base models where sitting position is too high, Frankly I won't recommend Tata cars , Because nexon's windows height is high too, they could have made window bit low and large so it can be felt airy ,

Thank you for this review...I have been considering Nexon Automatic as my second car... But really the showroom staff seems to be least interested in showing the Nexon...They don't even have vehicles for test drive and expect us to put in 11-12 L of money just by sitting in this car without getting a test drive... Not just that, all the concerns are answered by a single answer by them- "Sir it has 5 star rating"!.. Now looking at these reviews for Tata Automatic, I am surely excluding Nexon as my second car... Better to go for a brand which is giving tried and tested product. What kind of after sales experience will the brand give to its customers which is not even ready to give a test drive to finalise the vehicle? Thanks again for this review, it has helped a lot in making up my mind to drop this vehicle from my list of options

Never buy Nexon. My friends one gearbox broken. Hardly 4 months old car. Car is in service centre n they will change the gear box if doesn't work they said will replace the car. Which I doubt. I too is Tata victim. Buy any brand but not Tata

I booked Nexon XZ+ (o) Dark variant on 01.09.2021 but still there is no confirmation from dealer when to deliver the car. It's already two months. Is really there this long waiting period for this variant?

Hi Gaurav, As per my experience, you will never get exact date or any confirmation from the dealership. So fingers crossed. Also please do thorough PDI before registration and check each and every corner of the car.

Took Delivery of Vitara Brezza ZXI plus at noon . Rejecting Nexon because , Dad didn't like rear look , Also some KZbinrs said Nexon is underrated . Also CNG is successful in Brezza but my dad install it after some period , i.e after warranty period

Very nicely told .I had nano AMT..after accident it was lying in service center for 1 month . without covering.. Also I did second mistake bought nexon diesel ..now 75000 kms...service very poor with tata...now getting serviced at mahindra first choice...their service is good. After service at 60000 kms..at tata ..car literally became a tractor... horrible engine noise... suspension was not good ..what was done at service..I'm not sure...it was smooth before service at 60000... Was planning for safari...but am afraid for service issues...so going with another brand...

Yes.. during interaction with service manager...this interest is not giving good service...he is more interested in teflon coating, engine bay rain protection... I changed ac vent .since then ac not working..changed many things..now Ac gas leaking is answer...expense 8500...what nonsense

Tata still needs to mature for competing against global mass market brands. And develop better in house engines and transmission. The only AT that works well in Tata cars is Hyundai sourced. That too from the old generation. Engines are not at par with the competition in terms of refinement and NVH levels. Just promoting on the basis of safety is not enough. Needs to be a better value proposition.

Just sold my 2.6 years Tigor AMT. Too much unsatisfied and frustrated with Tata Dealers and their service. My car broke down 7 times in whole 2.5 years. Service centre people never found the issue. They infact suggested to exchange the car and buy any Tata manual car. I mean if AMT cars have such problems then why sell these cars. That too if you are not able to detect the problem. We are buying a car with our hard earned money and Tata seriously failed miserably at AMT cars. I am never going back to Tata ever again. What to do with such safety if your car breakdowns in the middle of some village and then the service is poor. It was a mistake for me to buy that car. Hope they rectify their issues and shortcomings otherwise they will lose customers like me.

I had test driven Tata Nexon XZ+ MT today and I am disappointed. I didn't like the gearbox location (highly inconvenient for me, I'm 5'8), steering is on stiffer side and I didn't felt confident driving it at all. The clutch pedal is small and very close to dead-pedal (I was struggling a lot to change gears since it took me time to press clutch on time), gear throw is long (felt like a driving a truck) and driver seat wasn't perfect for me. I loved driving my altroz(engine not that powerful but it does the job) and I am that kinda guy who likes to drive properly, soft braking and acceleration, maintaining safe distance and never in a hurry to overtake anyone (not even a cyclist). I loved driving Punch though, smooth and easy to handle. I think I'm gonna pass the SUV segment especially Nexon since it is not my cup of tea.
