Though Arnab had been very toxic at times , the love deep down could be always felt. Arnab was having a much tougher time, the attraction for Khusi had been so overpowering that he didn't know how to handle this, the more he wanted to run away from the situation , the more stubborn it got .....he had his traumatic past, seen infidelity, seen duality of people's personalities and moreover his higher social status was an issue ( he will definitely want his partner to be his equal, atleast in intellect), we know he can't express what is in his heart.. So, may be he tried to negate & deny his feelings and convince himself that khusi was not the right girl for him....again.he was not sure of khusi's feelings ...once he realizes , he comes out of his hard shell and gets so sweet towards her....( during payesh wedding prep), everytime Arnab was not wrong , khusi also gave him enough reasons to be angry

I agree with you but not for one thing. You think khushi is not intelligent??? One's intelligence can't be measured on the basis of social status.Because of her only arnav escaped from shyam's evil trap. Otherwise he would have been killed. Khushi intelligently played with shyam, she brilliantly calculated his each and every move and earned his trust and reached arnav. Khushi sacrificed her own life for arnav despite his harsh behaviour towards her and saved him. Khushi is very brilliant and courageous and can act as per her circumstances.😊
