Upma is a very popular savory breakfast recipe that is very light on the stomach. In the video I have shared a very simple trick to make the kind of melt-in-the mouth upma that is served in restaurants and hotels!!

Ingredients
Semolina 1 cup/150 g
Water 2 cup + 3 tbsp
Oil 2 tbsp
Ghee 2 tsp
Black mustard seeds( rai) 1/2 tsp
washed and split urad dal 1 tbsp
Curry leaves 5-6
Ginger paste 1 tsp
Salt 3/4 tsp or as per taste
Onions, chopped 3/4 cup
Chopped carrots 2 tbsp
Green peas 2 tbsp
Green chili paste 1.5 tsp/ 2 small chilies
Chopped coriander
Beaten yogurt 2 tbsp
Cashew pieces 2 tbsp (optional)
Lemon juice ( as required)
Coconut powder ( optional)
