A student in a little-known sub-county school in Nakuru City emerged as the top candidate in South Rift.
Isaac Mugambi, 19, from Langalanga High School in Nakuru stunned the school to score an A with 84 points, scoring an A in English, Mathematics, Kiswahili, Biology, Physics, CRE, Chemistry, and Geography to emerge the top student in South Rift Valley.
Mugambi says he was shocked by the results and thanked God for the good results. He said he didn’t expect to score these grades and thanked his teachers led by Principal Rufina Mutegi Nkonge for supporting him. He said his dream is to study medicine at the University of Nairobi.
Mugambi who arrived in a boda Boda from his Lanet home on the outskirts of Nakuru City was received by the teachers led by Principal Rufina Mutegi Nkonge who danced and celebrated his good performance.
Ms. Nkonge said the secret of success at Lanaglanga Secondary is discipline, commitment, and fear of the Lord from both students and teachers, teachers, and board of directors of the school.
