I don't think so...maybe the Alcatraz is not a tradition in all the peruvian families, but also not all school in Perú do or teach this song, is so sad, I just knew it because I love our peruvian music and my nighbor teach me to dance it, but my friends didn't like or even knew those songs (I'm from the north Peru by the way), and the kids nowdays...uff they're worse, really sad reality 😔

I think that even if is a tradition. They think that Peruvian are locos. It's not about Isabella's explanation it's about a different kind of culture. She says that is like a game. Because it's not common in the US. And, she says that they(her family) made that in Christmas. You know, Peruvians just not eat dinner and open presents in Christmas. Peruvians make a PARTY in Christmas. So Isabela is not that wrong. Mainly if her Peruvian family is from Lima. I am from the Peruvian Jungle and there are another traditions but, my aunt from a city in the coast teached me afro Peruvian dance
