Unless you test your dog, I would assume your dog is just a brindle...brindle is brown which you could be mistaking for chocolate. ..Only way to be sure is DNA test

I know it’s been 8 months, but no such thing as a Isabella lilac blue, 2 copies dilute(blue) is needed to create lilac or Isabella so saying blue in the name isn’t needed, Isabella is two copies chocolate bb dd, lilac is two copies coco dd, now if the dna is correct your dogs color would be a new shade Isabella

Hope this helps E-Locus (Cream) The E-Locus is responsible for creating cream or white/yellow French Bulldogs. It requires two copies of “e” to become visible, and when present will dominate other colors and patterns. The E-Locus on a French Bulldog can also be Em which is a dark mask around the mouth. Some reports will split the E-Locus into one for “E” and one for “Em”, but you should have a total of two copies. You can have a combination of a mask and color gene, such as Em/e, or just two masks or colors such as e/e. The presence of “Em” will result in a dark mask, “E” the typical black base for most Frenchie colors, or 2 copies of “e” produce a white or cream base. E/E (no copies of cream) - the dog does not carry cream. E/Em (1 copy of Mask) or Em/Em (2 copies of Mask) - the dog will have a mask. e/Em (1 copy of Mask, 1 copy of Cream) - the dog will have a mask and carries cream but does not display it. e/E (1 copy of cream) - the dog carries cream but does not display it. e/e (2 copies of cream) - the dog is visible cream.

Blue and tans, blue and tan merles, lilac and tans, lilac and tan merles. There is a really cool free app called Color My Frenchie developed by a frenchie breeder. Download it and go to the color calculator. Plug your dogs colors in and it will give you all the possibilities and percentages of those possibilities. It’s really nicely put together and very handy.

I have a Shih Tzu-6 months. His Embark test came back Eme, KBky, ayay -not expressed, DD, Bb, Ssp, No merle or Harlequin. His eyes are slate gray and sometimes look deep blue to almost purple and he definitely has the red eye glow. His pedigree has a rich history of Blue's and livers. Could Embark have it wrong? His eyes aren't the classical brown that you see in a Shih Tzu that isn't liver or blue. His coat color was black at birth but is changing to a silver gray. Thanks...nobody seems to be able to tell me what's going on with my pup.
