One day I hope we won’t say how amazing a woman looks at any age. There’s no blueprint.

When she stares directly to the camera at the end. my god! she can sure nail anything! Amazing and superb actress and completely lovable, very hard not to love her. Like the french said, Elle est Magnifique!!

The woman is a phenomenal talent, literally out of this world. Her intensity and power leave me breathless and gripping the arms of my chair. At the same time, I want to turn away from the trainwreck of the lives she portrays. Uncanny, uncomfortable and intensely honest. Love you, Isabelle Huppert.

she really deserves that Oscar for elle I'm sad the hype is over Emma Stone although I love her too but it's isabelle huppert's award

Yeah, "Elle" was too visceral and unique for most Americans and the industry, and Hollywood will always, always reward a young woman dancing in a brainless, sycophantic love song to L.A. and the industry. I mean hell, didn't that garbage win best picture as well?
@rics1883 Жыл бұрын
@@ImnotassweetasIusedtobeStone’s performance was so bland and nothing unique. Hollywood loves leasing Hollywood, industry circle jerk cum on each other’s faces. Hardly any talent outside gets recognised.

I hope she win the Oscar!! she totally deserve!!! But Hollywood sometimes do rare things at the Academy Awards, still I can´t believe that Paltrow won the oscar and not Cate Blanchett for Elizabeth for example.

her movie ''elle'' , a french language movie, received this best actress nomination. a foreign language movie get best actress nomination in oscar is rarely seen. i guess the american is very ready to give the award to her. the nomination itself already meant she shined like a super star. she cannot be ignored. she's going to make it i hope.

She actually starred in 4 films in 2016, not 2. The ones that are not mentioned are "Toute de suite maintenant" ("Immediately now"), directed by Pascal Bonitzer, and "Souvenir" ("Memory"), directed by Bavo Defurne.

She's such a tremendous actress that one tends to forget how beautiful and luminescent she is, too. On the other hand, can't stand Charlie Rose.

I'm so angry that he was protected (and still is) in the industry and that it took them this long to be pressured enough by the women and the power of #MeToo to fire his creepy ass. He always assumes his women guests are morons (his Deneuve interview is enraging because he speaks to her and treats her like an idiot; he did not do his research and was not expecting her to be an intelligent and well-spoken woman who knows a lot about her industry and the world. She's no idol ether, due to her support of well-known rapists, many of whom gave her roles early on in her career, and gave her so much to work with in their material. Many older French women like Huppert and Deneuve cape for these rapists, and I don't know why, and it's very possible that that they seem to fall prey to "Just World Theory," or perhaps they truly believe that rape and sexual abuse are forgivable crimes, which is a revolting thought. But women are not to be blamed for men's revolting behaviors, which is a never-ending list.

Love, love, love, Miss Isabelle Huppert. Beautiful inside, out, and within. Damn You Charlie Rose. When remarkable women went on this show - pre “Charlie the predator” - surely they see their time there as a waste. And it’s ALL Charlie’s fault and every last one of his enablers. I HOPE HE KEPT HIS PAWS TO HIMSELF….

Charlie Rose's way of presenting some questions here is really annoying, with a touch of self-conceit. Isabelle deserves the Oscar so much! Really sad it wasn't awarded to her.

Charlie Rose is so annoying in this interview by constantly interrupting and over-dominating the conversation.

Agree, he questions her waiting for a confirmation of his own preconceptions, it doesn't feel like he's actually listening, this happens with many hosts in US TV.

'Elle' is a terrible movie. The trailer is misleading, half of the movie is about useless scenes and subplots, weak plot twists and poor level of acting surrounding her. On the whole, a weak script (dialogues seem fake as hell) and a disappointing end. Sad.
