Just found your channel, I am a nail tech from New Zealand, our dog a miniature poodle/Cavalier King Charles cross (Rusty) had the surgery, both his knees were dislocating. We did 1 surgery 24th December 2016 and then the other knee in June 17 . One thing I would recommend is hydrotherapy, we did that for Rusty and it was the best thing for him, and his recovery. We found a dog hydrotherapist about an hours drive away from us but was so worth it. He now has plates and screws in his knees, he still is in some pain cause he has arthritis, he is 4 now so had the first surgery when he was 2. But he can play now again and enjoys walks, though winter is a bit tough for him. If you have any questions ask away and good luck for the surgery, its tough watching them go through it but worth it in the end.

Helloooo, aww thank you so much for taking the time to write this message it has really helped give more of an insight of what's to come. we have her appointment tomorrow at the vets to book her surgery... I am so nervous to stay the least!!!! I know she will be fine poor little fur babies hey :( - glad Rusty is on the mend now :)

Sorry to hear Beatrice has bad hips and knees, I have an imperial Shih Tzu and she too has the same issue; but we are at the beginning of our journey.
