I’m a sinner and safe by Christ, through out my life I called my self a Christian but didn’t truly understand everything. I don’t read or pray to God. My parents keeps on encouraging me to read the Bible but my heart was on Earthly things. 25 years of my life I grew up in a Christian family. Couple months ago I turned 26 and I started to gave the time to read and pray a lot. I do this not because my parents encourages me but because I want to know the truth for my owns. As I read I started to understand more and more and how Christ Jesus our Lord love us sinners and died for us. I grew up hearing many stories about God, of course the Bible. I was never into others religion. When I turned 26, I want to leave my past life behind. I Except Jesus as my savior. I pray that God will provide me and gave me the things that he wants me to have and not what I want. God knows me better than my self. English is my second language and I have struggle to understand reading the Bible. I searched videos on KZbin and I find Pastor Paul and couple of others. I really love Pastor Paul. It really helps to understand the word of God. That’s what I really needed. I thank God for that every night. Pastor Paul is amazing person, love his teaching. He makes me laugh sometimes. Most importantly his knowledge of understanding the word of God is amazing. God bless you. I want to walk by the word of god, by the Holy Spirit. One day I want to preach and teach the word of God just like you. John 14:6-7, love that. Pastor Paul, this message of me, I would love if you could read it Because it’s from my heart. My music app is full of your playlist videos and not music. I want to study them and listen to them. I want to apply the truth in me. I love the Lord Jesus Christ with all my heart, soul, and mind. Thank you.. 🙏😊😊

What confuses me is if God is responsible for invasions on to the Jews from others as a form a punishment, why would he give those others any such victories as they are also gentiles. As we've seen in Kings, there were 2 good kings in Judah, so why wouldn't God punish Israel vis a vis Judah? The only way Israel was going to learn was to be conquered by gentiles several times (Assyria, Babylon, Persia, Greece)? God was pulling 'an enemy of my enemy is my friend' cliche. For me, the only way the old testament could make sense in the case of the God being the ruler of the universe/earth is that there would need to be an old testament type thing happening for every nation and God using other countries to do his bidding is justified because he plans to punish those other countries when they make mistakes. However, we know a few nations who have always been pagans through out the bible don't suffer any more or less than Israel/Judah does.

These lessons were not only for the Old Testament Jews at the time but for us to learn today. God's plan transcends time. His ways are not our ways.
