Dr. James Tour talks science, nanobots, origin of life research and life.
This two-part video has been combined and originally debuted on @LifeinMessiah youtube channel.
Isaiah 53 is often referred to as the "forbidden chapter" because it contains a highly controversial and contested prophecy about a suffering servant who will bear the sins of humanity. The chapter speaks of a figure who is despised and rejected, wounded and oppressed, and yet does not defend himself. The suffering servant is described as being "pierced for our transgressions and crushed for our iniquities", and through his sacrifice, he brings healing and forgiveness. Despite the controversy surrounding the interpretation of this chapter, it has been seen by many as to point to Jesus.

Not just secular Jews but deeply religious Jews also believe that it is your behavior only that matters, not your inner life. Dennis Prager said this in his interaction with Jordan Peterson: only behavior counts in Judaism, not what's in your heart. You can hate someone but as long as you do the right thing, that's all that matters and that this behavior will in turn change your heart. I don't buy that. As a secular Jew who grew up near you in Long Island and became a New Ager, I avoided Christianity because I was Jewish, even if I wasn't practicing. It took many years to overcome the objections (Dr. Michael L Brown helped here.) and I accepted Jesus as the Messiah in my mid 50s. It could be no one else.

It’s so gracious of you, Dr. Tour, to invite unbelievers to engage and ask questions about the resurrection of Jesus Christ! God bless you! I thank God for men like you who not only live out their faith, but willing to stand up, speak up and go up against the lay and scientific community that seeks the easy way out of thinking and being accountable for their shaky claims, sins and willful ignorance about the truth of God.

Dear brother, Dr Tour advocates reading the Bible regularly. He reads it more meditatively,, contemplating each verse or passage for hour, days. I bought the One Year Bible in 1985 and have read it yearly since then. It is the power of God in the palm, changing the readers heart faithfully. 40 years of reading and I can say that it is true and GOD IS SO GOOD! LOVE HIM ALWAYS! Very interesting. I recall going by this video and seeing the title. I couldn't remember which chapter of Isaih, so I looked this video up again. The reason this is interesting is that I read two chapters if the Bible every night before going to bed (there is a story behind this). I am currently in Isaiah and guessed which chapter it was, considering Dr. Tour's background and other videos of his I have watched. I was, of course correct. I also see why it is not read.

@Apollos2.2 Жыл бұрын
@Ab Def Well "hard evidence" might have to be defined because anything that happened in the past, be it 200, 500, 1,000 or 2,000 years ago, we weren't there to see it happen so we have to look at the evidence and decide whether we believe it or not. Do you believe the Ceasars ruled Rome, do you believe Augustine from the 5th century was a real historical person? Clarify for me, Gandolf, historical or fiction? Hercules and Thor, Mercury, historical or fiction?

@@Apollos2.2 I've already made clear that a historical Jesus isn't at issue. The resurrection is from the story of Jesus. The legend, as written down decades later, not historical fact. My original comment was about this legend. You didn't answer my question.

I'm thankful for people like Dr. James Tour who are willing to speak the truth. Being a 'Jew' is not a birthright - it isn't about DNA or, in human terms, blood. It's about the sacrificed blood of Jesus. Salvation is a gift of God. A true Jew is one circumcised of the heart. The meaning is that being a true Jew isn't physical, it's spiritual. In Christianity, all saved believers are considered Jews in the spiritual sense. It isn't about human bloodline, but about Christ. People cannot easily see this because they are self-centered and their identity is in their own self rather than in the Creator. Ironically, the teachings of Torah say this but also say that not all will accept this truth. It's a crime that certain prophecies are ignored or hidden by Jewish rabbis. Isaiah 9 and 53, Daniel's prophecies, especially 9:24-27 make it clear that Jesus was the prophesied Messiah.

Yes , but the Bible does speak of bloodlines in a revelation. And I Jeremiah. The Father hasn't given up on his chosen the Israelites. The Hebrew people's. The God of Abraham *saac and Jacob still speaks of the Jews or Israelites , as His covenant people. God will not break His covenant even though the other party breaks their agreement. The Tribulation is for the non- Christ believing. Israelites to be 0urif8eevthru fire. Doesn't mean they gotta be burned. It's speaking of the Dragon and the firey trials of the great tribulation. 12,000 of each tribe will be saved. The ones who are still Gods children . Even if they practiced idol worship. There are those who drink the blood and eat the organs of the child sacraficed and rape children in their Satanic worship to their false pagan gods and goddesses. That get witchcraft powers from those acts. And they are used to getting their own way thru witchcraft. But these are old see spirits passing down possessing their descendents. So I believe many souls that are trapped in those bloodline bodies are we innocent. There is a multitude in heaven that Paul writes about. When the Bible says enter thru the narrow gate that most are going a different way and only a few will find the narrow gate. He is talking to souls that are lost from 6ge body on the lost highway. So many of the scriptures are speaking to them it's hard to divide the word of God until you find out who all agJe is speaking too. Think of sacraficed children. Angels on assignment that took on a mans life. Warrior angels here protecting us. Warrior angels above doing battle with fallen angels. Preachers as ND prophets who were rescued and sent back to preach. There are grapes and olives and wheat and tares and figs. Shepherd's and sheep.Amy on the lost highway. No telling where else He said his tent was being spread out wide over the universe. Hold on to what you have . Don't lose your crown. I take that to mean BB believe what BB to he J ok LL y Spirit he as led you to be eliev we don't switch your understanding now. He has been perfecting it. Dr. Tour left NYC for the blessed land down here. >>;=) 1977, good year sir... year I was born. I find it so very ironic, the idea that being Jewish and believing in Jesus are a conflict of interest, when quite the opposite should be the case. If it were possible for the Lord to not known what was to be before it was, He would have been surprised that His own people would deny Him during his 33 yrs on Earth. Much more success, sadly in a way, has been caught from "the other side of the boat", among the Gentile nations. It is thankful that over time, the Gentiles have missioned back to the Jewish people to teach them that the Messiah has already come and completed the work of salvation, and we are but seeking His return to claim His rightful seat upon the throne of David.

Thanks James though I have read Isaiah 52, after hearing you say go now and read it I came out of it with a different take or another layer should I say! It’s amazing how many times you can read the same scripture and take away something all together new each and every time. I wonder how you knowing this scripture don’t keep the sabbath? But instead keep the sun worship day that the pagans venerate? You know Constantine commemorate it Sunday to Mithra on I believe 324 ad. Please tell me I am wrong and when you do show it to me with scripture? Does it matter? Well Isaiah says you delight in observances of my sabbaths ordinances and Commandment’s. How can you not observe the weekly sabbaths? I can understand the feast day observances but not the weekly sabbaths they still stand until heaven and earth pass by no means shall one jot or dot be done away with! The pass over has been fulfilled in Yeshua as is yom kippor day of atonement! Because Yeshua is the atonement! But the weekly was created in the beginning before sin or the seven day creation and the sabbath was created for rest and restoration in him for man amen 🙏

@@robmarshall956 Its not summons its inviting please come in to my heart and forgive me of my sins. He said I stand at the door and knock. @@ronniebuchanan6575 but that’s in Gods timing, and that’s after God opens one’s eyes ? How can dead men here God knocking ? Our free will ?? Our free will is to innately oppose God that’s why we need the free Gift of faith and repentance because It’s God that seeks us and drags us to the cross, he opens the door and kicks us through it, we actually never seek him, it’s the hound of heaven that seeks us, Jim’s basically saying there’s a cognitive roadmap to God if he believes what he does in orchestrating peoples salvation on a weekly basis, it’s giving people a false sense of salvation, the ordo salutis is : Calling Regeneration Faith and Repentance Justification Adoption Sanctification @ Perseverance Glorification That’s why just asking Jesus into your life and believing does not make you a child of God. Jim’s claiming people are regenerate after talking to him, that’s completely unbiblical, where does the Bible support Jim in this ? Do you honestly believe that he meets people at random during the week and within as he claims 10minutes to an hour are actually redeemed, righteous in Christ, converted and named in the book of life ?
@robmarshall956
@robmarshall956 Жыл бұрын
@@ronniebuchanan6575 I agree with you that God doesn’t hogtie us into his kingdom but this actually isn’t like our free will to love another, you see your wife is not innately opposed to you and a slave to sin and dead in this regard as she would never love you. The Bible makes it very clear that we are actively involved in making choices for which we are responsible and which expose us to the judgment of God. And yet at the same time, the Bible teaches us that we're enslaved. We're free from coercion, but we don't have what Augustine called "royal liberty." We are not free from ourselves. We're not free from our own sinful inclinations, and our sinful appetites, and our sinful desires. We're slaves to our sinful impulses. That's what the Bible teaches us again, and again, and again. The humanist doctrine of free will, the pagan view of free will says that man is free not only from coercion, but man is free in the sense that his will is indifferent. It has no predisposition, or inclination, bias, or bent towards sin because the pagan and the humanist deny the radical character of the fall. But the Bible teaches us that we are fallen creatures who still choose and make decisions, but we make them in the context of our prison of sin. And the only way we can get out of that prison is if God sets us free. I don’t believe Jim understands this at all. We are volitional creatures. God has given us minds and hearts, and He's given us wills. And we exercise that will all the time. We make choices every minute of the day, and we choose what we want. We choose freely. Nobody's coercing us, putting a gun to our head-we're not robots. Robots don't have minds. Robots don't have wills. Robots don't have hearts. We're human beings. We make choices. That's why we're in trouble with God because the choices that we make in our fallen condition are sinful choices. We choose according to our desires which are only wicked continuously the Bible tells us. That we are as it were, dead in sin and trespasses even though biologically we're very much alive, and we're walking according to the course of this world-according to the Prince of the power of the air-fulfilling the lusts of the flesh is what the Bible tells us. The question is how can man, limited by a sin nature, ever choose what is good? It is only through the grace and power of God that free will truly becomes “free” in the sense of being able to choose salvation (John 15:16). It is the Holy Spirit who works in and through a person’s will to regenerate that person (John 1:12-13) and give him/her a new nature “created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness” (Ephesians 4:24). Salvation is God’s work. It’s the lsovereign grace of God that breaks in on our lives, overcomes our rebellion, overcomes our blindness and our deadness, and makes us able to see Christ as compelling and beautiful so that we freely choose Christ. God commands us to believe in Christ. He is pleased by those who choose Christ. If unregenerate people could choose Christ, then they could be subject to at least one of God's commands and they could at least do something that is pleasing to God. If that is so, then the apostle Paul I’m Roman’s 8 has erred in insisting that those who are in the flesh can neither be subject to God nor please him, so as fallen man is still free to choose what he desires, but because his desires are only wicked he lacks the moral ability to come to Christ. As long as he remains in the flesh, unregenerate, he will never choose Christ. He cannot choose Christ precisely because he cannot act against his own will. He has no desire for Christ. He cannot choose what he does not desire. His fall is great. It is so great that only the effectual grace of God working in his heart can bring him to faith. So surely Jim isn’t claiming he’s overcoming all this in a hour every week with a unregenerate soul ? Just saying that’s not how conversion happens in the main. Streuth many of the best Godly ministers in history have gone years without sensing anyone’s conversion and understand this happens in Gods timing not anyone else’s. I applaud people giving anyone the gospel but biblically that doesn’t make a person a Christian, this happens when they are born from above in Gods explicit timing.

I love this man, he's realised that Jesus was for the Jews first, and the Christians just followed Jesus afterwards, because we did see that Jesus is the way to salvation, it was what Jesus was crucified for trying to explain to the Jews first, because Jesus was the messenger to God, to bring them out of the Roman, many God mess they were stuck with living around, because of the Egyptians that were there, the one God truth was what Jesus was crucified about, he was trying to set free the Jews first, and second the Christians continued with it ever since then.

A real test of a person is how willing they are to abandon ideas they've been exposed to, that don't correspond to observed natural phenomena, to appreciate the fact that not one thing in this universe is "perfect", that the natural world doesn't care about what people want, that all living things die (like it or not), that discovery is a continuing process, that human impatience for answers doesn't make opinions true, etc. If one wants to jump to a conclusion of a creator everyone should realize their conceptualization of god or any supernatural creator, one should realize that creator is also flawed by virtue of having constructed a universe out of physical matter because known physical laws are inherently flawed because matter itself is inherently imperfect. So ask yourself why an omniscient, omnipotent being would create living material beings then expect them to act perfectly (be sinless)? In human legal terms that's the same as "being set up" for failure. In that sense no one is a 'sinner' in the way it's portrayed in religious sects. If one is created imperfect your sin is not your fault. But religion holds sin and guilt over follower's heads as a means of control.

It is written that God is as well a God of knowledge and science as God is the Spirit who tests heart, brains and kidneys. There's no contradiction in being a believer and a scientist as long as one is well connected to his Maker in love and awe. 🍷📜🗿✌️

Why are 14 books of the Bible not only hidden from Protestants but completely removed from Protestant Bibles today? Why are Protestant ministers, pastors, reverends, and missionaries hiding the truth? Why do these same Protestant leaders praise the Septuagint for faithfully, honestly, and truly quoting from Holy Scripture as recorded in the Gospel, the Holy New Testament, with the words of Jesus himself and his apostles but remove these 14 Books from the very same Septuagint? Why praise the Septuagint when it serves your secret agenda but hide the rest when it doesn't? What are the Protestants hiding?

Several mind-boggling myths are told by Christians about Jews in regards to this chapter in Isaiah. We've heard: -Jews skip this chapter when reading the Torah in public -Jews are forbidden from studying this chapter -This chapter is removed from Jewish versions of the Bible All these claims are 100% false. The truth is that Jews have nothing to hide, and on the contrary, are happy and willing to explain the explanation of this chapter to anyone who wishes to learn the most ancient and authoritative tradition of the bible.

can't imagine somebody in those times, knowing a person lives only a few decades, going around claiming to be something, which if not true would be a great sin against GOD? A person born Jewish would not do that. We may have worshiped a golden calf in the desert, but no one else claimed to be GOD, and then only walked around doing Miracles and explaining how each person is able to obtain a Relationship With GOD.

Dear Dr. James, as a famous organic chemist I‘m sure you must have heard about the Shroud of Turin which depicts the image of a man who suffered death through crucifixion - probably our Lord Jesus Christ. This piece of cloth causes a dilemma in the world of science, since the scientists have no clue as to what has caused the imprint on that cloth. I therefore politely suggest that you, as a famous & renowned scientist get involved in investigating into that matter. ( there are hundreds of clips in u-tube that deal with that matter) - in proving ( or disproving) the authenticity of that piece of cloth ( shroud?). Medizinalrat Mag. Dr. Issam Elias / Austria 🇦🇹
