Grant Merry Christmas to you and family - Its portal football at its finest - Until things settle down with the portal it is going to be stress time for all the teams - Horton is a proven pass catcher with his game confidence, he either wants a raise or really wants to leave. I think this happens on a lot of teams until its not a good idea to do it. I think you need to get the best QB you can afford and let them battle Emory for starting. You still need a starter for the season. They could be in the hunt and loose the QB. I think they need a two year deal though. Go Canes

I don't think this is representative of what Horton thinks of Emory at all. Resources seem to be adequate but they not unlimited. If we go into a bidding war for Mateer, how much are we gonna have left? If Horton is trying to leverage Miami for more money by doing this - will he get it if we sign Mateer? When Horton leaves, the receiver room get a bit more inexperienced and unproven- which can't be too appealing to a transfer portal qb.
