An overlooked or not understood bar in Isaiah's first verse is the ending. "Catch that vibe at night and Bobby Whitney, get too tired to write and died in prison. Felt like Rob tonight, lost my God tonight." Everyone knows the rise and the downfall of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown's relationship. Whitney as well as Bobbi Kristina their daughter eventually died in prison as prisoners of their own minds. Too tired to write referring to he can't find anymore meaning in life to mustard up enough energy to make music. Something Whitney and Bobby both went through. Robert is Bobby Brown's real first name. I imagine the felt like Rob tonight, lost my God tonight is referring to how low Bobby Brown had to have felt after losing both Whitney and his daughter to suicidal like overdoses. Asking where's my God tonight because he's at that low of a point in his life. Love the word play and substance behind those bars.

Isaiah Rashad - GIL. As well as the whole Cilvia Demo. Isaiah makes or has made very complex music with deep substance in it his style is just so different you have to listen a few times before you catch what he's actually saying or why he's saying it. I love both and I will tell you all day that Kendrick is the better artist but Cilvia Demo is one of the best albums I've ever heard, better than Good Kid Mad City in my opinion. From start to finish just a classic project.

Bro I get why you feel this as just them vibing but there is absolutely deep shit going on in both verses. Isaiah is talking about all the times he failed and how his family barely recognised him when he would come home all fucked up, and kendrick is rapping from the perspective of an older brother mentor figure trying to show him a better path. Isaiah had brutal drug issues for years hence why this project took so long to come out

I appreciate the clarification. IDK how many of my Isaiah Rashad Reactions you've seen, but I mentioned how these handful of tracks were the first time really diving into his music. With it being my first time, I'm not too familiar with his style of storytelling. I do apologize for missing the message of this track, but I appreciate you explaining it to me.
