I remember taking this one years ago in 2019 just before it left Cricklewood! Both this and TA642 (which sadly blew its engine up on the motorway ive been told) were great examples to have as last ALX400s in London

This video blew my mind about TA648 icl, last time i rode this was like in the NLRD when i got a dead driver going through 20s and 30s since it was busy but this video shows what it can do with a retrofitted engine for the haters who chat about this bus tbh, defo going next year to try this on!

this driver on the feeder service from redhill was crazy! Super fast the whole way to Godstone, and round corners and stuff. Was an amazing ride but equally felt a bit nervous of the speed 😂, great journey Frozzles, it was certainly a brilliant event this year!

Jesus Christ, I'm absolutely fuming that I couldn't go on any of these buses that day because I didn't have enough money to pay for parking, but honestly yet again Frozzles always bringing out some top quality video's. 🤩👍🏽 Edit: Is that an Enviro400 engine its using because it sounds different an the gear ratio seems different an very quick. 😮

Damn man, train would’ve been a better option! Thank you, and yeah it is, the gearbox/gear ratios are the same but the engine is more powerful so I’m not surprised it flies through the gears! 😮‍💨

Nice video! We had a fair amount euro 4/5 ISBe refits in brum, most of them were on the long-gone y-reg 3-speed voiths. But we had some on ZF gearboxes, all are gone except one (which is gonna leave soon). The ZF ones were literal beasts, they were rapid and had really nice aggressive gear changes.

Yeah I've heard of a few there still, especially that Y-TOH ALX400 that had a Euro 3 engine instead of a Euro 2 one

BBPG have looked after my childhood bus very well. Love the way TA648 Was driven like there was no tomorrow 😂😂. One question what's the maximum Horse power should a double bus should have?

They’ve done a really good job! I’d say around 400hp, Cummins ISLe8.9 engined buses like the BCI Excellences have 380 and Enviro 500s have 340hp
