Thanks to your video, this 69 yr. old grandmother was able to replace the brake light bulb of my 2003 Toyota Avalon in a jiffy! Also appreciated the tip on not touching the replacement bulb with your fingers.
@trevorwillis38045 жыл бұрын
Not touching bulb with fingers applies to headlight bulbs as they get very hot for long periods.

Very useful video. I was able to follow the procedures. Although the brake lights works sometimes and sometimes does not...why is that? I don't know If I should just replace it with a new bulb or perhaps the issue lies elsewhere?

I replaced my tail, signal, brake light per your description's referral to carcarekiosk. It works on my 1997 Camry V6. Thank You.

We don't have this Camry anymore but I think the bulb was a Sylvania 7443. Here's a link from Sylvania to look up bulbs: www.sylvania-automotive.com/auto-bulbs.html/?CarCareKiosk

All the bulbs should be accessible from the trunk area where you pull back the cover and expose the brake light assembly. You idenitfy the correct bulb then twist counter clockwise on the base to remove it.

Thanks for this video KZbin is truly a Godsend platform. I went to Autobarn which is the Australian version of AutoZone (I'm from USA currently living in Oz) and bought a light bulb for my 2004 Toyota Camry Sportivo and I asked one of the workers is it hard to put in the bulb they said not really but if I had difficulties to call them and book an appointment a week advance and they'd charge me $20-30 to do it. I said screw that watched this video and put the bulb in myself under 5 minutes....

Had to replace both tail and brake lights on one side of my Camry 2004. It was a bit hard for me to turn, so I used a pair of pliers to help me. Just a little bit of grip and I was able to twist it out of it's socket. Replaced the bulbs with ones I bought for a total of $15 CAD and it worked like a charm. Just as easy as I thought.

We sold our Camry or I could just walk out turn on the lights and tell you. This is what I've found online: There are four bulbs in the tail light housing on a 2002-2006 Toyota Camry. They are, from top to bottom; the marker(running), turn signal, back up(reverse) and stop(brake)/tail light bulbs. I'm guessing the bulb you're referring to is the marker.

Simply go to an auto parts store and give them the make and model of your Camry. They can look up the correct bulb for your car.
@Iscaper11 жыл бұрын
If you replaced the brake light bulb and are getting intermittent brake light, it could be a problem in the wiring to the brake light or possibly a problem in the brake light switch. Not an easy problem to solve.

There's actually two brake lights. The large bulb like the one above in this video is a little bit snug when you try to turn it loose. Then there's the one to the left (closest to the trunk), this one was pretty easy to loosen up and FYI uses a smaller bulb.

what is the most inner brake light used for? I replaced all my bulbs for my brakes (4 total, 2 each side). And when I tested it, only the 2 outer lights lightened up. Is this supposed to happen or all 4 supposed to light up when you brake?

The bulb won't sit into the base. It won't click in. The base appears to be pushing against it, sort of rejecting it. It is the right bulb and if you push down hard enough the light turns on but then it gets pushed out again to the point where it is still sitting in the base but not clicked all the way in. Any thoughts? Anyone know what this part is called so I can replace it?
