Can you hook this charger up to your car batter in the field?
@fiveeight0sixsix Жыл бұрын
Yes but you would need a lead to connect it.

Just bought this but do you know what the different colour screens are meant to mean. At the end of the charge, it goes from red to green and then to blue. Is it automatically balancing at the green stage and totally finished at the blue screen.

I believe that is the sequence. It also shows different icons depending on the charge/discharge stage.

Ok thanks. Wasn't sure when to disconnect it as it stays on blue at the end.
@fiveeight0sixsix8 ай бұрын
@@ash9888 you're fine to disconnect on blue. You can also press the middle button to clear the screen after the charge is complete.

Great review! Do isdt chargers let you charge lipos even without the balancer? I prefer charging my lipos to 95%, if I do I skip the balancer. Thank you

Yes, you can charge without the balance lead (it gives a warning but you can override it), you can also set the termination voltage at less than 4.2v. I don't recommend charging without the balance lead (just to cover my back), but if you want to, you can.

Hi thanks for the demonstration on this charger. I'm looking to buy my first charger for my first RC car (LC Racing EMB-TGH) as it didn't come with one. I have 2 x 2s lipo batteries and was wondering if you thought this charger would be a good buy? Or over kill! I would only be looking to charge my batteries at home. I am also currently looking at the ISDT 608AC. Any help or information, recommendations on other charges brands would be a great help. Also I'm in the UK so would need the plug to work with a UK socket. Thank you.

It's a very good charger but possibly overkill for small 2s packs. Much more useful for big packs and high charge rates that racers like to use. I haven't used the 608 but the specs look sensible, 50W AC charging should support charge rates of 6-7A on 2s which will get most car packs charged in well under an hour.
