Yes to ALL of that 😊 I tend to go in stages as far as finishing up my WIP's but I always want to start NEW projects....lol, what is that all about!? 🤷‍♀️ I just cleaned and RE-organized my sewing room...keeping my scraps from current projects organized and put in their place always kicks my butt. I too am in a "dont buy anymore fabric" place. I am kinda thinking of going thru and pulling out what I don't see myself using anymore...when I feel I have "too much" it can stifle my creativity. Thanks for sharing your process, it helps❣️

I was so glad to see others have a hundred projects started and not finished. Then come up with more in their minds to do those as well. I’m guessing it’s like me - I get bored with it after awhile so I try to go to new. Only then forgetting when I get bored with the 2nd, I SHOULD go back to the first. 😂 ADHD at its finest

Hi Christen. I am relatively new to quilting. I just found your channel and have subscribed to it. I really enjoy your presentation and you hit on topics that have been really helpful. I really like the ideas that you have given for gifting a quilt I am in the process of making a quilt for my son and his fiancee for their wedding. You are awesome to listen to. Thank you,

I love this so much. I’m a new quilter and it’s nice to know that the collection of fabrics and WIPs is normal 😂. I started just over a month ago. I’ve done 3 completed quilts (super simple block quilts just to learn what I’m doing. Ps. I only learned how to sew last year. So I needed those block quilts. Lol) and I have 3 actual works in progress (with some fabric already cut and sewn) and 5 mental works in progress (4 that I have fabric for and one to be ordered) and I STILL keep shopping for more fabric 😱 I can’t help it, I love fabric so much. So thank you for taking me on this adventure with you. Other peoples wips and fabric collections are just as exciting 💛

I have 2 tubs and 1 box of ufos. The box are quilts that need sandwiching-binding. The tubs are either started quilts or I have specifically purchased fabric for a quilt. I also have a bag with my strip squares, and 2 boxes with unfinished scrap squares. My goal is to make all my finished tops into quilts.

How are you going to quilt the big flower panel? I have one but I am not sure how I would go about it. I have “pieced quilts for over ten years and I always just put them in bins when done. I just started quilting on my domestic machine, so now I have over fifty quilts to quilt😒

I have a question my dear! In the past, when I was many years younger, I hand quilted on a big oval hand loom. I e never been able to afford, or have space for the room sized looms to quilt on. I'd like to do some quilting but now I have carpal tunnel in both arms. Is there another way to quilt my quilt tops?
@ISeeStarsQuilting
@ISeeStarsQuilting 2 жыл бұрын
hi! A frame like this might work well for you... amzn.to/3G2Tm5z I have several hand quilting friends who use them and swear by them because they easily come apart but are sturdy enough to work on large areas at a time on the quilt without having to reposition the frame a lot. You could also try hand tying your quilt. It is less stitch work, but still keeps your pieces together and secure. I have a tutorials here kzbin.info/www/bejne/roi4aHZjgNaKnbM - mostly, I think you'll just have to pace yourself and know when the limits of your hands/arms are. You may have to take breaks or talk to your doctor if the carpel tunnel starts to flairs up. I'm glad that you want to quilt more 🥰 There is always room for more beautiful quilts!

@ISeeStarsQuilting
@ISeeStarsQuilting 2 жыл бұрын
I make a lot my quilts for people as gifts... but mostly I make them because I want to make them (and then I find that there are people I can gift them to later). I also donate a lot of my quilts to charities. You can look into Project linus or Quilts of Valor if you don't have any local groups. Quilt guilds in your area might have a partnership with a hospital or shelter. I've also donated several quilts to local school auctions etc. I find the more that I make, the more that I see an opportunity to give!

What about using your superwoman’ panel as your reward for completing your ‘to be done’ projects, then you can look forward/dream what ‘she’ will look like. 🤷‍♀️ just an idea 💡. Maybe give us an update after finishing 5 projects? 😉🤗💞💥
