Lovely job, as always! I appreciate how you find the comedy in this scene, as the sound of the orchestra could influence singers (and/or directors) into creating an otherwise emotionally conservative approach. I’d love to see your interpretation of “Ah! mes amis…Pour mon âme” from _La fille du régiment_ as it is one of my favorite arias to sing and listen to!
