Such an intelligent answer and i was directed here to see how Sadhguru gets angry! Lol. We forget that holy regimes of other countries have officers that we all refer to as Father and Pope without question, all the while our own saints we try to humiliate and undermine in subtle ways. Next time the Pope visits why don't we all call him Jorge? "Hey Jorgey boy, how's it going?", oh pretty please, let this interviewer go with his camera and props and speak to that man thus and then you will see what "anger" is. As always Sadhguru exposes the nature of things with clarity.

It's not like he was disrespectful. He used the formal tone (he didn't say nee, he said neenga) and he called him Jaggi Avarghal. Not everyone wants to accept him as a guru. It should come from the heart, not be enforced by drawing cheap comparisons. And the pope can also be called 'Avarghal', it's a generic way to show respect
@ankushs64483 жыл бұрын
@@miayana2539 What you are not understanding is that there is a divide in how the West treats us and what we cherish vs how we treat them. The reporter is borrowing from their discrimination. You will have seen it many times that, in North America or Europe, a non-Christian foreigner will still call a Christian priest "father". It doesn't mean that he is your priest directly or that you even visit his church, it is a mark of respect. Sadhguru is a guru, he is a guru to many around the world. He needs to be addressed as that and we have to insist that he is so respected. Guru is an ancient word, India has been producing buddhas before the West had cities. This isn't a 'cheap comparison', you have to understand these things... they actually matter. Psychology, propaganda, the words people use, why nations fight to the point of war over the use of language... these things matter. Forget demanding it from foreigners, our own journalists are undermining our culture. People shouldn't stand for it.

@@ankushs6448 I would totally call a guru, ordained by a Hindu monastery 'guruji' or 'swamiji'. That's because they're recognized by these institutions, after attaining a certain level of knowledge, detachment etc. (similar to how a Christian priest is ordained as a father). Also even then, such people should be beyond their egos. The terms of respect should be voluntary, not passive aggressively enforced, the way Jaggi is doing here. Jaggi is a self anointed, self stylised guru. If you believe his questionable backstory, where he talks about reincarnation, how he's fulfilling his destiny, by all means, call him 'Sadhguru'. I'm not so keen. There are other 'gurus' and 'swamis' like Nithyananda, Kalki etc. who are exploiting the concept of a guru and peoples' trust. If we are forced to call anyone wearing traditional clothes and spouting 'Hindu' philosophy a guru, we would be diluting our own traditions. I don't think that's good for our culture.
@ankushs64483 жыл бұрын
@@miayana2539 @Mia Yana The problem here is you're not understanding our culture. We do not have institutions. This is the way of the West and the way of political religion. In our culture people of all sorts attained to realization. There is no curriculum to get there and there is no diploma upon reaching. Here we the inhabitants have recognized people, and it has never been unanimous in their lifetime or Krishna would not have been pushed to fight in a war and even cursed when he won. I think you need to understand more about Hindu culture beyond names and trivia but the actual culture. Read the lives of these people who are called avatars. On the other hand, the system of the West and in the Middle East is set up this way because centuries past the leaders were religious authorities. They were able to demand their populations fight in 'holy wars'. A lot of brutality happened because communities without the right book or the right badge on their sleeve were pronounced as evil. Setting up slave colonies was a project of religious leaders with enlightened clarity or those consumed by greed? A person who is not spiritual, has realized nothing, can be a revered person by this magic of the credential. It allows a tyrant who does not walk the walk to argue immunity to claims that doubt him. And it is meant to, the political religions are not intended to foster debate and enlighten, they are schemes to conquer. In India, we don't do this. Read about how the Buddha has become famous in the east. To say Sadhguru is self stylized is to say that he stands on his own feet as a person and leader. It is a complement but your writing reads like an insult. There is an equation that west=good that needs to be banished before this will be obvious. If you pay even a little attention to Sadhguru his enlightened nature is apparent. He is like no one else. This is how people have been revered in this nation.

All the Indians who think Sadhguru should never get angry, remember that our stories are filled with Rishis and Yogis who get very angry, open their third eye and turn their targets to ash. Remember that Parasurama, Krishna, Narasimhan (all avatars or enlightened beings) were engaged in warfare and killing. So, all things considered, this was really mild as the interviewer was able to walk away from the encounter. :) I really do not know where this idea that anger is not in the purview of yogis came from - they get angry when they have to while you and I get angry even when we don't want to. :)

Don't judge the envelope by the cover. Also 100% true that Indians worship foreigners and this interviewer is a good example. I will not watch news 18 if they continue to have interviews that disrespect Satguru by calling him by his first name also not allowing time for responding. He used this chance to raise the question why u are uneasy to call him sadhguru that but not feeling uneasy to call the pope as pope and other religious institution leaders by their title not name given by their parents. And before u say they are elected , elected by whom? By the god those religions worship? Elected by some other human so y not call out their real name then. No scientist with which he has interviewed has felt uneasy to call him sadhguru and he again says its not a title for respect. If u want to check the reasons why he kept himself that name, u have check his biography coz in his past life he was called as sadhgurunathar or sadhguru shri brahma by the locals in nilgiri district. It's upto to u to believe it's true or not but there is a documentary on it. Also he specifically said those who are raising allegations like arasiyal pinbulam have no need/right to call him like that not everybody, only those people. The questions were asked in an utterly embarassing way and were not at all genuine

Why there is a moon on the head of Adigogi ? We learn that the the Americans have landed on the Moon in 1969 itself making us to think how the Moon is still on the statue of Adiyogi ? He claims that the Adiyogi came to Himalayas i5000 years ago and was waiting for Sadhguru to spread this Yoga . What was this Adiyogi doing for 15000 years ? Can the Sadhguru answer this question ? The Western countries have developed very Scientifically with lots of inventions Pin -- Plane where as Adiyogi was keeping quiet according to Sadhguru. This Title Sadhguru was conferred on him by some Institution /University or is it a self proclaimed title ? The Sadhguru says he hails from Mysore (Karnataka ) and settled at Coimbatore , Tamilnadu. But he has not bothered to meet the Chief Minister of Karnataka to get Cauvery water for Thanjavur Farmers ,yet he claims to accomplish greater things. What are the inventions of this Adiyogi to this World ? Anything tangible ? Pin-- Plane ? Nothing ? All developments Electricity, Roads, Transport system, Health Care Facilities, Education, TV, Phone, A/C , Computer, , Motorcycle, Train, Plane , Sanitary Napkins, Shaving Blades ,Toilets Pants- Shirts all are by Western Countries -- Not by India because the Adiyogi was only thinking about Yoga which ultimately became the intellectual property of Sadhguru . Sadhguru keeps talking about 1 ) Yoga 2 ) Kundalini 3 ) Third Eye Vision 4 ) Inner Engineering , but does not explain the details of the benefits / side effects etc. Can he explain the lists of diseases his Yoga had cured ? what are the side effects because he recommends Yoga to women between 20---40 years of age for dysmenorrhoea ( Painful Menstruation ) This Yoga helps in Hip-widening process to provide relief in this segment. He fails to note the Thalidomide Tragedy of 1957-- 62 which shook the whole World , because wrong Medication and wrong stretches could lead to complications. In what way Sadhguru is different from Osho , Rajneesh of Pune, or this Yoga Founder Bikram Choudhury of Los Angeles ? Why this Sadhguru keeps going to well developed Rich countries like USA, UK, Germany, Canada , Australia to enjoy the benefits available there . Why not go to Poor countries like Somalia, Africa etc to serve the deserving poor ? V.U.Pandian email ---- pandianulaganathan@mail.com
