The wood is Japanese cherry. Finishing are Holzlasur and Lappenwachs / KREIDEZEIT. Glue is "大鹿 TP-111" [ 8:50 warp stop of the board] 3 / 1,000 tapered. Glue at only one side end. Make space on the other side for wood expansion and contraction. [ 14:15 water wiping] returning the dent before plane. [ 15:02 hammering before assembly] It's kind of "killing the wood".Tenon shoulder will Super fit. Thank you for watching. Happy holidays to you :) ご覧頂きありがとうございます。 今年も一年あっという間でした。 Chie from ISHITANI FURNITURE.

The taper was something many speculated about. Thanks for clarifying that and even disclosing the taper ratio. Does the tapered board fulfill the function of stopping the warp even when tapered ?
@markylil1
@markylil1 6 жыл бұрын
I was wandering this, maybe the recess is tapered as well so that it when it is fully assembled, there is full contact the whole length

In his workshop you can see how manual labor evolves into craftsmanship and ultimately becomes real art. That peace, that serenity, ... Excellent filmed and edited ... Quiet, sweet dog, ... The balance is all right. ... Like Belgian beer ... :-)

So simple and yet so complex! It is always so humbling to watch an artist at work. Most people see a table and never give it a second thought, if I owned that table I’d have a heart attack if I spilled my coffee on it! But yet, that’s what a table’s for, that, and memories. Beautiful build. Just beautiful.

@Sheila Walker you sound like a very sad and angry person, imagine letting trump live rent free in your head so much you equate downvotes on a woodworking video with trump. Put your cats a bowl of food down and go outside for a little while.

I was so excited to see you had a new video this morning . I love watching your channel more than anything. I’m a woodcarver and work with wood 6 days a week and in my lunch break I watch your films. It’s so calming to see your working method and procedure and your amazing workshop. The cinematography by your wife is inspiring and complements the work with symbiotic beauty...... and you have a cute dog. Keep these up they’re an absolute joy I watch everyone 5 times, from Emlyn Budds woodcarver In the 🇬🇧 uk in a very messy workshop with loud radio and tripping over things and x x x

Ishitani, eu moro no Brasil, outro lado do mundo. Lindo! Parabéns!
