I am a woodworker and a musician...there are no words for how stunning this piece is. This master woodworker never fails to do gorgeous work but also work that is not the same each time. And the filmmaker deserves equal applause...usually we get either a great build video or great visual film making...but here we get both. Thank you both for this.

Spectacular. I've yet to watch a single build that hasn't left me a mixture of slack-jawed, envious and full of admiration for the skills on display. This is art. "Ganbatte!"
Your lattice work is both timeless and classic. Simply gorgeous. 💕

Simply the best on KZbin. A demonstration of woodwork with surgical precision. It would be nice to see a video with the errors in the building process. It will not take away from the excellent craftsmanship.

Its just a peice of art, who would not want this in their living room just to look at? I know a little wood work, but if I tried to copy this it would look nothing like his. The master is at work, and I am but the heel of the trunk, that holds itself on in readyness for Ishitani to create and draw out the beauty and skill from wood, that has waited for him to pick it up and fashion it with his hands. I like his little dog it too seems so perfect!

You have so many unusual machines. The tilting drill press, the tenon saw, the dado saw, the giant press, etc. They look very old and beautifully made. On the adjusting post, i think installing a brass bar in the groove to contact the screw on the screw knob would make this piece last forever. As it is, I think the screw will mar and gouge the walnut post over time? There may be some other solution such as stop holes and a pin instead of continuous adjustment, etc. that would help with this. Very beautiful and elegant music stand.
