Based in Cornwall, England, Ishq is Matt Hillier and Jacqueline Kersley. They have been working in ambient and electronic music since the mid 90’s and have also released music under various other names including Elve and Ishvara and on their own record label “virtual”. Their music has been described by fans and reviewers as deep, otherworldy, and magical.
Blue Infinity was inspired by the story of Peter Lanyon, the painter and glider pilot based in Cornwall who painted landscapes of the West Cornwall peninsula from a gliders perspective. The album is in a sense an imagined flight in a glider across the Cornwall landscape but with some deeper meaning as always.

"These days, it comes in many styles and varieties and has many names: Downtempo, Chill, Space, Psy-trance, Psybient, Electronica, Atmospheric, Deep Ambient, and more. Whatever you call it, electronic sound opens up an ethereal world that leaves ordinary acoustics behind. It creates a sonic space for virtual travel, calms the mind, and fuels creative work." - Stephen Hill, host of "Hearts of Space" radio show dedicated to Ambient music.
