Ishtar Alabina - Horchat hai caliptus live in Slavi's show

Ishtar preformed this song in Slavi's show /Sofia, Bulgaria, 26.02.2006/. She was a guest of Slavi and sang this beautiful song with Bulgarian arrangement made by Ku-Ku band. Horchat Hai Caliptus became a popular after first visit of Ishtar in Bulgaria /2004/ exactly in the same show. After that Bulgarians adore this song and many of them tried to sing it. Unfortunately no one can sing that song like Ishtar !!!
P.S. The original version of that song was written and composed by Naomi Shemer. She is an Israeli singer and song writer and wrote the song in 1961.
I am sharing link to an old version. I am not so sure if it is not the first original performance of that song.

AMAZING, What a great beautiful song, tells the story of young parents, when mother came young and pretty father biult home on the hill, near the bridge of Jordan River, near Ekaliptus forest, passed 25 years , curly hair became gray...and here again babies children go down river ...and the smell if maloah (kind of herb Famuse mostly near rivers smell salt) usually use for soup.

This is the first time I've ever heard this song & it brings tears to my eyes. I don't even know what she's singing but it's beautiful! Before my father passed we lived in California on a ranch that had eucalyptus trees back in the 60's. Does anyone know how to get an english translation?

@ A Hall, I am not so sure if there is any original lyric in English of that song but if you type Horchat hai caliptus in English it appear a few sites with English translation. Originally that song is more faster as a melody and sounds really different. Ishtar have arranged it in this way and sounds brilliant.

Her singing is great but her belts killed off the emotions of the song. She could have sung it with better vocal control. For me, Lara's version is one of the best here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/a2ereYB5aLaMobc In such instance she sang it with purest emotion, she almost whimpered while singing it. Before performing the song, she even had to give herself some time to calm down her emotion before she started to sing.

With all my respect to Lara but their voices are extreamlly different and we can't compare them especially when we are talking about this melody! Honestly I don't like Laura's interpretation, didn't touch me at all. Jutem is different song and the message is clear : P. S. Originally this song is a traditional Israel song which sounds more faster but Ishtar made it slower and brings different sensation.
